Is the 300E basically the same as the 300D?

Yes with the exception of appearance and I think an additional bearing. I know we added an S-ARB to the pinion support also. I'll have more specs next week when I am back in the office.

You can order this bearing for your reel if you like and install it yourself. Its pretty easy to do.
