You have gun rights!!

Post by Ringer »

The Supreme Court just ruled against the DC gun ban in Heller vs DC and confirmed that every INDIVIDUAL citizen of the United States has the right to keep and bear arms. California will be next in court and they just lost any chance to argue that the second amendment applies to the national guard. Great day for liberty and congrats to all of the free men who live in California, New York, Chicago and DC!!! :D

Dave,

I’m having hard time deciphering your message, you must have been in a hurry to get to work down at Obama Campaign HQ in Reno.

Marty, you can now call off your militia lead gov't takeover, finally a law you can agree with.
1. What are you referring to when you say “call off your militiaâ€

Answers to your question

1. A. Not an organizer but maybe a member
B. Yes

2. Yes

3. A and B. Yes, the Supreme Court got this one right.

What I mean by a law you can agree with is when there is a ruling or law you disagree with you blame it on the liberal democrats and when you do agree with one it must have been republicans involved. And, by your own statement of "We the people have the right whenever that Government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.â€

Actually the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were developed to create a foundation for the new government and to insure that the citizenry would be able to overthrow it if it became corrupt. Our founding fathers were all about distrusting and overthrowing the government. Admit it Fish, given enough corruption and abuse of power that infringed upon your right to live, think and speak freely you would join up in an armed resistance.

Marty, Marty, Marty, I don't think I ever said I did not know where you were quoting from but when you throw that in when you are talking about a possible law that you don't agree with then yes to me you sound like you are talking from a right wing anti-govt militia. To throw your off hand threats out there and not expect some one to call you on them is a little silly don't you think?

I do read your post Marty and I for one might get a little more out of them if they were actually your words. I have noticed in many of your post that you post thoughts from other people (and yes you give them there proper credit) including that disgusting post you did several months ago. If I was interested in what some off the wall right wing physco was thinking I would be listening to Lush Rimbaugh but I am not, I am interested in the common mans thought.

"pompous A$$", I have not been called that in over a year and that was by my brother and it did not bother me then and it sure does not bother me now.

"Fear Me" you say (another attempt at an off hand threat?), I think not, but I do fear a group of people that rise to your level of ignorance and we call them republicans. I fear what another 4 years of a republican administration will do to this country, I fear for the future of my children and yours and future generations children that will still be digging us out of the hole that your kind put us in.

Possibly so Ringer but we are not even close to anything near that because if we were Bush would have been gone about 3 yrs ago.

FishaHallic, your Integrity is in question – I set you up with that quote about three weeks ago. I had a hunch you would come out stating what you did.

From your own words and posts. To prove my point - your words not mine!

I don't think I ever said I did not know where you were quoting from (Sat Jun 28, 2008 11:30 pm)
And, by your own statement of "We the people have the right (Fri Jun 27, 2008 2:33 pm)
And by reading your responce it sounds like a armed takeover of our gov't could be justified by you (Fri Jun 20, 2008 2:26 pm)

FishaHallic,

I have to make this fast, just got home, still need to eat, and get to bed – 4:30 am come early. This was a lot better post, no name calling – thank you! I really have to say you are obsessed with this Republican verses Democrats thing when I’m more obsessed with Conservatism verses Liberalism. Just to inform you I'm a registered Independent and I don’t believe in Compassionate Conservatism. But it just ceases to amaze me the hatred for President Bush you have. I have met others that hated President Regan as you hate President Bush but their hate stemmed from them losing their jobs as Traffic Controllers. What is your reason and don’t give me it is for the country stuff.

Back to this Republican verses Democrats thing, you must know that our (American) political atmosphere is one of continuing change like a pendulum on a clock going from “Right to Leftâ€

Fish-be careful. Nancy Pelosi just proposed that we need an additional tax on people's retirement accounts as the funds are withdrawn so we can take the money to help the less fortunate. She specifically mentioned the over 12 million immigrants who are here illegally and desperately need our help. No matter how liberal you are you have to admit that double taxation on saved retirement money to give to illegals may be a bit of a radical idea.

I agree with you Ringer however I am trying to look at the whole picture. I have to compare what both parties are doing and make an informed choice on what I believe is right. I don't agree with everything the dems do my any means but in my case I think they are the lesser of 2 evils.

2. Energy policy. What is it and who helped formulate it? Why won't the administration say who helped shape the energy policy? Is it a coincidence that oil prices have more than doubled under this administration with an admitted oil man at the helm?
Please add this to a huge failure by the Clinton/Gore Presidency. 8 years in power and now Gore wants to be monday morning quarterback with his global warming theories?? Could have got this done in the 90s when the economy was good and money was avaliable.

5. The man is plain ole dumb. I don't care what college he went to he is dumb.
This is as arogant as saying women are all bad drivers. The guy may look dumb, but he can't be that dumb. He surrounded him self with enough of the right people to stay around for 8 years.
If we learned anything from Vietnam it should have been to go in with overwhelming force. We did this in the first Iraq war with success.
Ummmmm....Remember Shock and Awe???? We hit Iraq with OVERWHELMING force. Fastest military victory in modern history!! It was after that that Bush screwed the pooch. It looks like things are getting much better despite the lack of reports in the news; but this should have been completed in 3 years.

Please add to your list of why bush is crap the lie about Iraq being a "self funding war"....costing only 2-5 billion dollars. Thanks a lot
FishaHallic,

In my post I asked you too questions – you answered why you hate President Bush but you did not answer why you like Obama?
Let me respond to a few of your answer to your hate of President Bush. Don’t get me wrong I’m not standing on the table defending President Bush but I don’t hate him either.

Response to 1.

I like Obama because he is NOT Bush or a republican or a conservative.

One good reason the President (the White House), any President runs the war is because he is the Commander and Chief. But more important is he is a civilian and the founding father wanted the control of the military out of the military hands. Something about military coup.
I fully understand why the president runs the war and I agree with the fact that we have a civilian commander and chief. What I am saying is Bush can't pass the buck on why he sent in too few of troops to get the job done in a timely manner before a civil war erupted, before the opposition gained momentum. It was GWs decision to go into Iraq with the amount of troops they did, it was not the militarys choice despite what you might hear.
What the problem is that the current Republics are spending like Democrats! As for our economy going in the tank I believe it is because of few things – one the fear talk by the press to gather votes for the election, our dollar on the world market is worth crap, and the U.S. currency is going down in value. This is affecting the cost of oil and our inflation. As for the dropping housing prices – people paid too much for what they have. If you really think about it the lending companies are giving the money way – I believe we need to raise interest rate.
The press does not just make up stories, they report stories so anything about the press making up stories is just bogus. The part about the dollar losing value is true. The housing crisis, inflation, oil prices, food prices and near recession are all due partly to GWs policies. Commander and Chief makes the decisions that affect all of these problems.
This is a contradiction to what Ronald Reagan believe in and you stated he is the best president in recent memory.
True, I did say this. The reason I think Ronald Reagan was one of the best presidents in recent memory is this. After the Carter fiasco and Vietnam this country was down on itself and Ronald Reagan came in with so much optimism and pride that he lifted this country up. His Star Wars plan forced the Soviets to spend themselves bankrupt which ended up winning us the cold war without firing a shot. I am not so much talking about his tax policies or other policies.

Obama shares in my opinion some of these same traits as far as optimism goes.

This is all I have time for now but I will be back.

The War is not just one battle front, we are not waging two wars (Afghanistan and Iraq) we have one War with two different fronts and it may go to three different fronts. Our enemy understands this. Look at the map of the Middle East and you will see the lay out of the three major countries that comprise as our enemy (going from West to East Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq). From a strategy point of view who is in the center? Why do you think Iran is cozying up with Russia?
Iran was trying to become more moderate and voted moderates into office until GW called them part of the Axis of Evil. That comment stirred up the Iranian people and they voted in Ahmedijad. Up to that point the Iranians were helping against the fight against Al Queda and Iran did not want us to invade Iraq but they sure are glad we did now. We turned the country upside down so it's easy pickens for Iran to control which they are now doing.

Originally there was just the war in Afghanistan and unfinished business in Iraq. Now, we are facing Iraq, Afghanistan and may soon be facing Iran and or Pakistan. Where are the troops coming from for these future conflicts when we don't have enough troops for the 2 wars we are in now?

I would like you to explain
