Swiftboating John McCain ? ?

Post by hrvestuff »

With the most fervent support for John McCain coming from his fellow veterans, AFL-CIO President John Sweeney announced last week that the launching of "Union Veteran's Council " to mobilize Veterans behind Barack Hussein Obama. The labor boss told a teleconference that state councils of veterans would be formed in pivotal states- for now: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, Ohio and West Virginia with other states to follow. They are designed to "raise the profile of veteran's issues and lead the way in securing an economy that works for all". Shortly after Sweeny's announcement, the AFL-CIO launched a barrage of TV spots featuring Vietnam veteran Jim Wasser denouncing McCain. (Wasser was used in ads supporting John Kerry's record in Vietnam while the Swift Boat ad's contributed heavily to John Kerry's defeat by President Bush.

****

For all of us, we hope the AFL-CIO continues this type of campaign tactics, as it back fired in 2004 big time. The attempt to legitimize Barack Hussein Obama in the veterans community will certainly result in a lot of money wasted, and further raise the alert among those who served and those who care about "America first"

It is the opinion of about 90% of American vets that every step must be taken, no stone unturned to insure that Barack Hussein Obama , an extreme left wing socialist candidate carrying latent Muslim beliefs be rejected soundly in November.

My gut instinct is to say, "You republicans better start saving your campaign for 2012 because you haven't got a chance this time."

However after the 2004 elections I can never say, "Never," again. During the first campaign I could see Bush was not very smart. I was sure the American people would never elect anyone with an I.Q. of around 100. Man was I surprised.

Here's a guy who graduated from college in a 75 percentile group and a questionable inactive military record and a string of failed businesses. So who do the Democrats put up against him? A guy in the 74 percentile group in his college who's biggest claim to fame in 20 years of government is authoring bills to declare buildings historic.

Now looking at the thing from the outside. You have an old republican who says we could keep our troops in an unpopular Iraq war for 100 years if necessary against a young black man who offers visions without substance. I'd give the nod to the young black man.

But then look who we elected in 2000 and 2004

I wonder how far back we'd have to go to find a president that wasn't in someone's pocket.

There won't be any need to "Swiftboat" McCain, he has given all the ammo needed for the Dems to lynch him in the fall. Valerie Isman, keating 5, Bonano birthday cards, 59 lobbyists heading up his campaign staff. His interference in the Abramoff affair, He has sold his soul for one final try at the Presidency of the United States and he is in for a crucifixion come November. The swiftboaters will be true conservatives that withold support. I am guessing many would like to see a Democrat fail miserably and then they would mount an offensive in 4 years. The only problem could come in the way of a successful 1st term in office by Barrack. We'll see how it all unfolds.
