Seems the number of posts are gone from your information under your name. I guess it keeps folks from posting only to get that number higher? Keep us from dog piling on someone with one post that's only here to slam??? Signatures have been gone...what 3 months? Less and less to distinguish yourself by.

So.. I am not really sure what posting tally & signatures have to do with making this a better forum???? The option to "Attach signature" is still available at the bottom of every post entry, but the signature never shows up..

Would these new moderators be the same people whining about the conduct here? Please inform us about all the new rules in 50 words or less. I don't need a book, but would like to know what my boundaries are going to be..

It was as a result of our community meeting that the post count came down. Signature lines are actually coming back. In the community meeting it was told to us by many forum members that we needed to tighten up the moderation of our forums and adhere closely to the stated rules for posting.

Next time, if it really does matter to you, you might consider stepping into the online meeting and voicing your opinions. I was on there for over three hours to hear about what folks wanted and didn't want from the forum areas and the web site in general. We'll be scheduling more online community meetings as well so you'll have additional opportunities to voice an opinion.

We're trying to add more Mods from the groups of people who use this forum a lot. It's my belief that they'll understand you guys better then I do. Folks that have demonstrated some basic common sense, a bit of control over their own posts, some objectivity and a pretty wide sense of humor. We're actually identifying people who have the above qualities as well as those that have been critical of our past moderation to join the Mod team.

I've asked Roger Nelson, aka Tunaman, to come on board as a Mod and he's accepted. I've asked a couple others to come on board as well and I'll be looking to identify more as time goes on.
