Anybody know the real story?
They are doing a HUGE tackle inventory reduction and rumor is they are closing.
Can someone from AIM give us the facts so that rumors don't get started?
Thanks

Re: AIM Marine Closing?
Aim Marine is not closing, rather going through some organizational changes. Basically what is going on is that the owner is looking to get out of the boat business. He has been fighting cancer on and off for the last 5 years, and no longer wants to be in the boat business, which is understandable.
The reason for the tackle reduction is that it is all of the owner's inventory. Trying to reduce the current inventory will make the transaction of the dealership much easier. JT, the long time sales manager will be taking over operations of the dealership in the near future.
For all those Skeeter, Triton, Crestliner, and G3 owners (as well as Mercury and Yamaha), there still will be a dealership for you to get parts, and services done, as well as new boat sales for all the lines mentioned above.
All of the boat lines will remain the same, as well as the services offered.

Re: AIM Marine Closing?
Thanks for clearing things up Garrett.
Too many stories from too many sources. I am sure that everyone will be happy that the people they know at AIM will still be there to help in the future.
It is sad that Ai won't be part of it, but completely understandable. All of us wish him the best with his health.
Good luck with getting up and running. Keep your customers up to date.
