Hey Deejay,
I don't want to come across rude anything but what does the number of boats got to do with you entering. First place is first place regardless of entries. And you have the talent to take it from what I have been seeing of you and your partners names atop the leaderboards on many a tournament.

Re: Thinking about getting into the open
Dont worry I wont take it that way. I did have a good year and I just want to get my moneys worth. Its going to be hard to win this thing with all the great anglers out there no matter what the numbers are, and I am cofident I would do well but I had a friend out there last year that finished pretty well and didnt even get his entry back. So with bigger numbers you have a better chance to at least get your money back if you do well. I plan on fishing all the Southern WON pro/ams so that 2000 would pay for all of those plus some. So thats why I wanted to know, just looking for the best value for my buck.

Re: Thinking about getting into the open
so last year everyone was mad there was no major pros fishing and it was a bad time. So they changed the time loaded the field. Gas prices fall and thats still not good enough...

Re: Thinking about getting into the open
maybe there is another reason anglers choose not to fish the open and low turn out in the south pro ams...

Re: Thinking about getting into the open
hes just asking a simple question and you guys have to give everyone a hard time about. Its either you know how many are in or you dont, thats all he is asking. What he was trying to get at was if there is enough botas to cover like 30 or 40 spots, or for deejay the top 10 or 20, thats all he wants to know.

J10B-I don't think DL was referring to you, he may have been referring to Hollywood popping off. Again...

Not offended at all. Just wondering what Hollywood's theory is behind the numbers for the Open and WON South...j10b wrote:I didnt mean to offend anyone.DL wrote:Why don't you enlighten us with your theory?Hollywood wrote:maybe there is another reason anglers choose not to fish the open and low turn out in the south pro ams...

Why not share with everyone your theory Kevin?
It seems as though there is a pattern in your Open posts from year to year. Heck just a few weeks ago you were talking about how you were really hoping you can make the open.

I'm still at
both guys have points but if someone does not want to be there then they should just pass on posting
If someone would like to be there he would make it happen is just my take on this

More drama than theatrical lessons on here....Cut the guy some friggin' slack already....It WAS a simple question
DJ is a stand up guy, and more importantly a stick and a half on Mead. The proof is in the puddin'! DJ...there should be no doubt at all on entering this year, because you stand a great chance to be in the money regardless of what top name pros enter. It's real tuff to beat local knowledge. I support your decision either way bro.... "Go get you some"
PS...
Chris LOVES the Champion...That rig changed his life dude...He's been taking it to the next level...The kids on fire, he took 2nd place at the last Castaic night tourney! Hit me up next time you're in SoCal, and we'll head down to Compton for the reunion...Hahahaha
