Anyone in the Lincoln area??

Post by underwaterparadise »

Anyone out there that is Familar with the ponds off Gladding?? I used to fish them many years ago and was shocked to see the size fish I would pull out of that first little puddle. Never pulled much out of the big one unless I brough out a float tube.

Any way it's been years and now there is a sign that states no trespassing on the big pond but I did see someone fishing the puddle yesterday.

So what's the word on these ponds? Are they old Clay/rock quary's? I love pond fishing and always catch and release but it seems hard to find a good fishable pond these days with out trespassing or most of the good ones have been fished out by folks who will keep a 3" bluegill :(

I haven't fished there in probly 7 years, and of course I didn't catch anything. From the looks of it, they've really stepped up on the "No Trespassing" end of things.

I remember years ago, hearing about people catching decent bass out of those ponds, but nothing rock solid to make me think that it would be worth investing the time into them.

I'd say go find some place else.

Heck I used to catch a ton of 1-2lbs in the little pond everytime I went. And the Sun fish were huge until people started fishing them out and taking tiny 3" fish to make fish soup :(
