Post by 12lblargemouth »

hey 12LB LB,

I was up there 2 weeks ago, the only quality fish I got were Senko fish, lots of weeds and that's where most the fish are hanging around, drop shot right on top of them or make long cast with a senko, water is pretty stained now so the fish are not so easily spooked, check out my report on the report page. One thing for sure, 15 solid hrs and 9 fish to 4.5 lbs is very slow for me but you know some one is going to pull in at least 30 lbs I guaranty it:)

I was up all weekend and didn't get out much as the wind was blowing very hard as a cold front moved through. An hr or so each morning in the narrows to Rattlesnake and it was a tough bite (echoed by others I spoke with). The local Osprey were catching more than I was! Only one 3 lb today on a crankbait at two poles. Lots of weeds and baitfish everywhere (balls of silverside minnows) but not a bite on topwater. Warmed up a lot today so may change but from what I hear it's been slow for a week or two. Good luck!

Was there last week and the bite was TOUGH!!! 3 ft white caps most of the day and the only fish I caught was a 4.5 lber on a frog in soda springs. I talked to a couple guys who fish there regularly and concensus was it has been a bad couple weeks. Hopefully things will pick up for ya. Good Luck!

You didn't tell me what he was smokin though ;-) I got three the other days all on jigs. On buddy had to bites and another got 2 that didn't measure. I was throwing sweet beavers on Mark Inmans jigs and My buddy that got 2 bites was throwing PacaCraw

Whoever said 30 pounds is smokin somethin. There will not be a 30 pound bag weighed this weekend, unless someone gets really lucky. 42-45Lbs. for two days will win, the bite is tough. You can get into them, but it's really, really hard to pattern fish right now.

I dont know about that Phil, My dude and his wife have been on a excellent bite this whole week, 20-25lbs, without picking the areas apart!!! You know them, Joe and Barb Stella who own American Fishing Products. They fish the Turkey Shoots!!! I'll let you know in about 30min once they weigh in.

Insert foot into mouth Shane, haha.

John is on them pretty good, I'm not fishing this one with him. He had 18 and change today but on a pretty solid bite. I guess Tommy has the 21 pounds, he stuck a nine first thing. 40 pounds will win this thing.

Yeah so I went up there on Tues, Wed, thurs to help my buddy pre-fish the Champ tourney, the bite is garbage right now. We threw everything, dropshot, frogs, crankin, jigs deep, the only thing that half *** played was swim baits fisrt thing in the morning, and then it shut off dead like no where to be found at 1000hrs.

Flew by and yelled and waved at the Corn dog while he was fishin Shag Rock. then the next morning he flew by headed for Horse Shoe, you little skank you Corny.

Glad to see you got out brotha.

PS conolly is one of my personal favorites, I still dont understand the reduction though?

Was that you that dropped that lure 10 feet in front of me? I pissed somebody off. ;-) I didn't think anyone could cast that far. I was only out on Wednesday though from 5 a.m. to noon..

My partner and I swung for the fence with swimbaits on sat. cause we had some good bites thurs and fri. We ended up zeroing saturday. We got up today and decided to throw frogs all day and weighed 23lbs. For us the frog bite was off the hook, just wish we would've put down the swimbait a little earlier on sat. The fish kept getting bigger as the day went on.
