Would Obama qualify to be an FBI agent or Secret Service?

The answer is no. So, his body guards would have a higher security clearance than him?? Kinda of funny that we might vote someone president who would have access to all top secret stuff but he couldn't pass the FBI qualifications, Secret service qualifications, or Military Special Ops. He'll be carring the nuclear football for crying out loud!!!

I have not posted much in favor or against one canidate but this is some heavy stuff right here. I know 99% of people's minds are made up already, but just think about that!

Have you ever been in a room with people who used drugs in front of you? If so did you immediately leave the room and call the police?
Have you ever used any illegal drugs?
Do you associate with known terrorists?


Those are just a few. #2 and #3 would disqualify most people; espically the hippies

Obama wouldn't pass the NYPD background test. I'm just saying, forget his party affliation, forget his skin color, forget how sorry Bush has been as a president, just think who would pass an FBI background test.....

I heard that on the radio the other day and I don’t agree with it! I carry Top Secret plus Clearance for the work that I do. In fact when I was in the military my clearance were even higher!

The big thing that they are looking for is if you will lie about your past life, i.e. associations or the use of drugs. Knowing a felon does not keep you from getting a clearance because if that was the case I would not have my clearance. They want to know if you are in debt or if you have a lot of money that can’t be show where it came from (this could be a problem for Obama).

But I believe (because I rally don’t know) that the clearances elected officials get is different – there is this thing called “Need To Knowâ€

Why they sent me to White Sands Missile range when I couldn't get a security clearance in 1968 is beyond me! I was an aircraft engine mechanic, machinist, painter and sheet metal fabricator. Never saw the inside of any of those buildings while there.



Man picking up gum wrappers and cigarette butts with a stick with a nail on the end gets boring after a few months They finally put me in a tire shop with civilian Mexicans. The Mexicans didn't want me doing any of their work so they made me a place to sleep in the back of the shop on a huge tractor tire.

If any brass showed up they wake me up quick and hand me a broom. The Mexicans worked their butts off in that place. I felt obligated at that point to party all night long. Those guys were great.

I can tell you some stories about being the pecker checker. I will see if I can find an old photo and scan it! I’m getting old.

LOL that's funny. I bet we met while I was on sick call. I worked at Gibson's Discount Center in Alamogordo part time.

I was a real idiot a few times there. I loved the dessert and would go out in the desert in the foothills without communication or telling anyone I was going and hike for miles and rock climb in cowboy boots. Never realized the snake dangers or injuries that could have killed me back then.

Went to Juarez once with a Mexican American soldgier and some other guys. Stupidly filled up the back seat (Underneath with 10 bottles of tequila in my 62 Chevy Impala SS. Coming back the Border patrol was so interested in the guy with Mexican Heritage they didn't check out the fact the back seat was 6 inches to high on bottles of tequila. One guy bought Spanish Fly from a street vendor which turned out to be Novocain. Made his tongue numb for about 3 hours LOL
I went to a college dance there and found the band was Buck Owens and the Buckaroos. Didn't stay long. Got an early out for college. Discharged at Fort Bliss in December 28, 1968

No, that was in Washington D.C. while at Fort Eutis in A.I.T.

I got drunk and ended up at 14th and T street. No place for a white boy at 3:A.M. I knew I was in the wrong part of town when I saw police lock their doors when the locals approached them. On the way out I saw these two guys approaching me whispering. I got 20 feet away and yelled, "STOP!"

They did. I said, "are you guys gonna roll me?"

They said, "Yeh." I said, Let me save you the trouble and turned my pocjets inside out and threw them my wallet.

I said, "I got one dollar left and I'd kinda like to keep it for cab fair."

They said, "Take off your shoes and socks." I sat on the sidewalk and did.

They said, "Where you from?"

I said, "Vernon Center, Minnesota."

They laughed and said, "We're on our way to a party, you wanna join us?"

LOL, I declined.

I walked another twenty blocks and saw a white guy and a black guy opening a gas station. The black guy stopped and stared at me as I walked the last half block. Then he came running over to me and said, "Hey turn around." So I turned around. He yelled to his buddy, "Hey Joe, this guy just came walking outa this part of town and he doesn't have any holes in him."

I was suddenly scared.

He said, "Where you from boy?"

I said, "Vernon Center, Minnesota."

He laughed too

They gave me directions to the downtown area.

I ran into two more black guys on a corner. They tried to hail an empty cab. The cab driver was black. He screeched out of there as fast as he could.

I asked, "Why'd he do that?"

They said, "Cuz we're black dummy."

I said, "Well, so was he."

They said, "Where you from Boy?"

I said, "Vernon Center Minnesota." They laughed.

I learned a lot that night. Vernon Center, Minnesota is a punch line.

When I first was assigned to WSMR they made me the ambulance driver but after three runs I got fired. Each run I made was DOA – I was bad luck and the word got around and no one wanted to ride with me. I mean I would arrive at the accident and a guy would be bleeding all over the place and he would ask if Marty was driving – and he would say “I’m ok no need for an ambulance! I drive myself to the hospital.

I see nothing wrong with some sort of selective service, hell it could even be mandatory street sweeping with a push broom for all i care. just as long as it's serving this country for say a min of two years in some way !!
