Reasonable priced trolling batteries

Post by need_a_kicker »

My trolling batteries died and I am looking for good priced trolling batteries on a tight budget. (Like most of us these days) I was looking at the Kirkland batteries, any thoughts?

Thanks

The Kirkland brand is a safe bet and they have a no questions asked warranty if you return them within a year of purchase

I used the Kirklands in my last boat -- all three the same deep cycle with 2 for the TM and another for the cranking of a 88hp Johnson with accessories...

My TM for that 18' alunimum boat was a MG #82 digital -- and I could run them 2+ days. -- I never ran them till dead though either.

Never had an issure or reason to retun them to Costco before we sold that boat after 15 months.... They were like new at that time even.
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

This is not the first time I've heard people singing the praises of the everstarts. Why do they have such a loyal following?

they have a good following because just about no matter where you are there is a Wal Mart. Have a battery problem, just run to the local Wal Mart and make the swap.

everstarts are very reasonable price and they have an 18 month free replacement warranty. Just traded mine in after 16 months and they didn't ask any questions. Hope this helps.

Sam's club sells Energizer and it has a 3 year warrenty. 1st year free replacement and next 2 is pro rated. The size 29 cost about $70. Sam's Club is part of Walmart but they don't sell the energizer there.

The fact is they sell for less money and if they are cared for properly i.e. charging, fluid level, etc. they will last as long as the higher priced batterys. Plus you can get replacements all over the country at any Wal-mart. Kirkland batterys are another good choice, at Costco's. Bill K :)
Fun fishing the country, each and every week.

only reason I would consider another battery other than everstart is weight.
I have yet to find a light battery though.
