I would check B&W out before Tower Park

I'm no expert in any way, but I launch out of B&W or go 1 more exit on I 5 and use the Paradise cove ramp. Both places had put out fish for me.

Paradise point is a graet place to satrt with immediate access to Whites and Dissappointment. B&W is a better choice if you wana make a trip into Franks Tract

Tower Park would be my first recommendation for a first timer, considering where you're coming from. There is some good water just south of TP, and what's best about launching there, especially if you're not familiar with the delta, is that you can use the water tower as a navigational landmark to help find your way back to the ramp after fishing.

I agree when I first started getting onto this pond I launched out of Paradise and bumped around whites and disappointment mainly.

Drive a bit more...Come down 12, cross the bridge.
HWY 4 to Russo's Marina.

Google Map it.

Fish Where the PRO's Fish.

Franks Tract..surrounding sloughs.
Burn your truck gas and not the boat.....

There is GOOD water......from the moment you launch outta Russo's.

Stop in at the Hook Line and Sinker right on the Dock....

How big is your boat? Frank's is a tough place to fish on windy days?

Tower Park is a tough place to launch because it has a steep ramp. I recommend Paradise because you hide from the wind on windy days. If there's no wind, I agree with everyone about Russo's.

I agree that Russo's is close to great fishing, has a great ramp, and a great facility, but it's also an extra 30 plus minute drive from Roseville. Thats an extra hour of your day not to mention the extra $8 toll charge at the Antioch bridge.

For convenience and savings, Paradise point or B&W are much easier for those of us north of the Delta.

I looked and watched someone launch from TP while I was on the water and BrothA RJ went in to price a Sandwich.

The ramp is steep -- but not bad. The tide taking your boat when launching or trailoring is a whole different thing to consider ! .. Thankfully the docks were boxed in for her .... after she lost the rope as soon as her hubby went to park the truck.

B&W Resort has a very nice cove with little/no current and parking.

-- Like said above ... 6 more miles down hwy 12 to the next bridge from TP - Exit to the right and follow it to the first marina back by the bridge.

Make your first outing on the Delta your most memorable -- Thankfully we are now into Fall ~ and there "should not" be gale force winds blowing your TM out by 1300.
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.
