WON Bass Inland Empire

Post by William Pointing »

What do you guy's that fish Inland Empire, think about Perris and Hogdes? Silverwood is a outside possibility's. If Diamond Valley opens we will go back BUT unfortunately we have to set a schedule. GIVE YOUR TWO CENTS OR DON"T COMPLAIN.

A big fat Negative on the Elsinore suggestion. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

Silverwood is what we used to do in the past why not bring it back and get it going again up there. Kind of sucks going to 1 lake for a whole series let's get some variety going. MP

Does Rick know you hang out on this site? Shouldn't you be pumping - - -? Silverwood is a bit far for me to run. Doesn't draw enough boats. Gas cost alot now. I am not really into getting up 3am.

keep it simple bill... Perris. My dad lives on Hodges so im all for hodges, but its going to be closed so bring it home to Perris. Im like a gypsy, ive already wandered my way back home to Perris and let me say this. I missed her. A lot more 10lb + fish at Perris. I was getting bored at DVL.

Why make it ok Bill for all the regulars?

Post by Rick G »

If this is going to be a wierd year with not knowing about DVL and when it will open, mix it up.

Elsinore is back and would be awesome.
Hodges is great.
Late season frog derby at Skinner.
Perris at its best time of year. Not sure when that is, but not when everyone is in the same 50 feet of each other.

Maybe Kramer will even come out of retirement with that schedule.
Lets see who is the Inland empire's best true SHALLOW water team. Go to Elsinore and I am in. I will TCO Phua for ya. Rick G.

I think Lake Elsinore would be fun Bill. No one really knows it so it will be a challenge. I know I have not fished it for 10 or 12 years. I agree with Rick on Skinner, that might be a lot of fun. Could be a real interesting year.

SKinner? yeah nothing like having 50 boats on a lake where the speed limit is 10mph  .. Elsinore is cool if you like catch 2lbers on a spinnerbiat all day hoping for one 4lber. Now the whiper "secret" bite would be awesome.

What difference does it make if you cant launch at DVL anyway. Plenty of guys fishing at "Ground Zero", Mead and Havasu and then coming back into So.Cal. as it is. Rick G.

Don't other lakes have inspections or questionnaires, such as Cachuma, Castaic? Or are DVL and Casitas the only lakes with quarrantine periods defined?

Sorry bill, I'm out this year so it's hard to answer the question knowing that. If I was fishing it though I would like to see Perris and Silverwood. Skinner sucks and Elsinore will not draw. With gas prices and poor economy you might be best served to hold them at Perris till DVL opens back up. You also may want to back up the schedule (take Nov, Dec and Jan out of the schedule) and pile your region up during Feb-June if it's possible. DVL should be open by then from what I know.

Here are my thoughts....

Post by TEAMDEADMONEY »

Skinner is Crap!!!
Elsinore is Just as big of a piece of Crap!!
Vail presents an unfair advantage because members can prefish.
Silverwood is okay I guess, not what it used to be.

I say keep them at Perris and play it by ear one or two events at a time. DVL WILL open back up. Dont reschedule them all ...only do about 2 at a time.
But only go to Perris you clown Bill, quit trying to get " creative".... getting "creative" and going to lakes like Elsinore and Skinner will RUIN your turnout....trust me.
People will complain about Perris but its the best alternative during Nov, Dec and Jan. Look at the weights from the last 2 years during Nov, Dec, and Jan...the weight are really good.

Thats my 2 pennies!!

See Pete, I wasn't going to call you out!! But now you called me out!!! I figured as many times you been to Kramer's house you would want Elisinore. I read the articles on how great you are!! So Pete when you call Two Two tonight just remember we all Know.. I agree Perris is about the only choice, It would be very hard to back the schedule up into the later months. Hey Guy with all the money you win that sound like a excuse to me!!! Just write HOT checks like Dave..

If you guys come down to hodges you will draw a good field. As long as it doesnt conflict with the SD tourneys I think you could get a lot of san diego guys in it. There are a lot of guys who like to fish hodges, and there arent that many tournaments there, most of the SD tourneys are at El Cap and Otay....... Throw a hodges in the mix and see what happens. You might also draw some guys up to the perris tourneys if you do that, as now they can qualify through travlers and not just fish El Cap and Otay all year long...... I'd probably fish as long as it didnt conflict.

Bill will do what it takes. If you don't like where he goes then don't fish. Just because you have not been to a certain lake there is no reason to say it sucks or is not good for a tournament. You do have choices on what and where to fish so make the choice.

Ray i think its safe to say any one with a bass boat in so cal.. has been to Perris, skinner, silverwood or Hodges. If not, i hope they fish the derbies i do.

Didnt Bill start this thread to get everyones input? So now everyone's input is a bad thing? You cant have your cake and eat it to big fella.

Keyboard courage.

Post by some guy »

honest input...

Perris - great lake to fish, lots of big fish. Its hard to get turnouts because no one likes fishing on top of eachother.. every tournament i have fished there, there was a fight.

Skinner- lots of rats, hard to get a limit unless its in the prime Rick G mentioned. You can only go 10mph.

Silverwood- decent fishery 15lbs will take down every tourny.. all the old structure in the lake is silted in due to the run off from the fires. The lake was suffocated and lost a ton of bait.

Hodges- tough lake, lots of water to fish. Only open wed sat sun so its a level field, but it closes in 2 weeks.

Elsinore - couldnt keep the whipers off of your bait.. another super small lake that will fish extremely small with 60 boats on it.

there is some honest input. Hope no one cries about it.
