gas prices

Post by Slippy »

wow, im exited to see $3.33 a gallon... 2 years ago we would have been screaming at this price... they said it could go down 50 cents more. I guesss its better then 4.50 a gallon.

Makes you wonder how the SYSTEM really works! I heard that gas will drop to $2.25 a gallon by end of next year. It will still be $ 1.00 too much! We'll see what happens.

Market manipulation by the speculators at its finest! Fokkers! They did it to see how much the public would put up with. It may drop a lot, but I would guess they will push it higher next time around...so get ready for another assault on your wallet.. :x

The OPEC Oil Ministers have been gathered together the last couple of days deciding whether to restrict output, so that the price of crude goes back up. I don't expect the price to fall much more than where it is today, and in actuality expect it to go back up in the near future.

Funny (not funny - ha ha, but funny in a sad way) that prices rise like a skyrocket, but never fall as fast or as far as they rise. In the end, the consumer is just thankful that the price dropped, and the oil companies know it. Bass turds!!!

Slippy,
I don't believe that during the upcoming Holidays gas prices will rise. If I'm wrong and they do, I think for the most part people will not fall for it, meaning they will just make it a point to stay home. I also believe that the upcoming election is playinga HUGE factor for gas dropping as well. Politics, politics and more politics.

We are getting hosed here in the bay area, on the way back from Tahoe this week end I paid 3.19 at a Safeway gas station.

I have a customer back east that paid 2.85 a month ago, how do you like those apples?

Think about it, thats a month ago, a month ago you could have paid 4.85 at some places, let me see. this math is hard, I think thats $2.00 less per gallon and that equals a lets see here $28.00 saving for 14 gallons of gas, hmmm what could I do with $28.00!!!!

That is a huge hose job!!!

$2.02 in Texas right now. Makes sense to take the motorhome to Falcon next month. We are paying 2.89 down here in San Diego. Price will drop for another month until the winter "clean air" formulation goes in to effect. Damn Northern California tree huggers.

Prices will continue to drop slowly until the election. After Nov 4, they will likely hold for a while, then skyrocket again after Jan 20th.

Latest survey shows $1.95 in Texas. Whoo Hooo. For the poster that said prices will rise after the election, you are right. Just not because of the election. It is because the winter formulation will go in to effect. They have to add additional clean air additives for the winter months as the weather creates more inversions trapping smog. Happens every year at this time. If it does rise in November can we blame the new President? Bush has worn the oil price cap for years. Maybe McCain or Obama will be the next oil company cronie?
