Don't go to Hodges

Post by Otay Michael »

as it's closed now until Feb. A member wanted info before he went this Saturday, I'm glad he asked. As he said, no fun showing up to a closed lake so I though I'd make the announcement.

Speaking of which, in case anyone knew him, a great father, fisherman, surfer and Godly man passed away last week. He lived in the Rancho Bernardo area and attended Marantha Chapel, a large church over there. His name - Jeffrey 'Rhino' Rhine. He had a great memorial today. One of his three kids, his 20 year old daughter Amanda, fished with him in tourneys.

Here is more info from sdFish: http://sdfish.com/index.php/News/Urgent ... Rhine.html

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

Jeff will be missed.......

Post by Garrett Mercer »

It is a shame that he has passed. It was a very nice ceremony today, and many San Diego fishermen that knew Jeff were there. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. No matter how good or bad the fishing was Jeff ALWAYS came in with a Smile, no matter what.

He fished many ABA's and NBW's in San Diego over the years with his kids, and I'm sure Lynne will agree with me on this, that it was great to have him around the tournaments and weigh ins, as no matter how bad the bite was, Jeff could put a smile on your face. He loved the sport down to the basics, and just loved being on the water.

Rest in peace Jeff, and best wishes to Amanda and the rest of the family......
