Just dropping in to say hi

Hi everyone, my name is Mike Van Buskirk and I used to post on here several years back when it was NCBF.com and I think my screen name was MikeV or something similar and thought I would drop in and see how everyone is doing. I probably don't know too many here any longer but I have a Champion 190DC that I bought from Skip who was a friend of Mark on this forum and he used to live in Carmichael, CA. My son and I also met Cooch at one of the Sportsman expos in San Mateo years back and my son and I also met up with Gene in Livermore, CA and his partner who was with the 101st Airborne if I remember correctly and we all fished the Delta out of the Holland tract.
I have known Jon Walton for over 20 years now but haven't been over to see him in several years. I hope he is doing well.
Anyone here remember me? It's been a long, long time.

You know I haven't had a line wet in about 7 years now.
I am considering selling the Champion but I just don't want to part with her you know?

I havn't gotten a line wet since the Rally at clear lake last year ... had an oil spill to deal with then two big hurricanes and since then havn't managed to find time to get out down here. I am doing some muzzle loading for deer and some shotty for grouse or partrige up in minnesota in a couple weeks that should be fun.

My son and I fished the Rally at Clear Lake 2001.
I think I got 12th place if I remember right.
That seems so long ago.

Good luck to your son, MikeV., and be sure to take him fishing when he comes home! I spent many days in foxholes in far away lands thinking about returning home to go bass fishing...it will be good for both of you to get out in the Champion!

Thanks Marc but the Champion has sat so long that it needs to go to the mechanic and I can't afford that so it will have to continue to sit.

Did you used to live in the San Jose area, and met me once at Coyote about 6 years ago or so?

I am from NY, and if it was you, you were throwing a giant trout pattern MSlammer that day, and a Blue Heron kept trying to get it ?
