I have tried several different rod covers from BPS/Cabelas and tackle shops. By far the best covers for protecting your rods are the stors-it rod covers. They have a felt style coating on the inside and are perforated to allow faster drying if they get wet and protect all my high end rods.

www.berserkbaits.com has the best rod sleeves around. They can come with a protective tip, lifetime warranty, and made here in California. Bait Barn carries them, Escalon Bait & Tackle, or you can order them online. These have saved many rod tips for me. As a guide they are helpful with clients that are not used to fishing in a bass boat. Give them a try.

I agree with the Stick jackets, they provide good protection, easy on/off, several sizes and colors available at tackle warehouse. They don't hold moisture, no snag design, great rod protection product....i'ld definately give 'em a try.

Hey Grape Ape, seriously I really think that a motherlode guy like yourself should check out these berserkbait rod sleeves. Manny has them at Bait Barn or you could hook up with the owner or some pro staffers that are not too far from you. They could show you them.

I've got the Ballistic Bass Gear rod covers from Berserk Baits.

I Love mine, they keep my rods from getting all tangled up. I've been really happy with mine.

They can custom make your rod cover with your name on it or have your rods labeled for easy identification for just a few bucks more.

Check them out. http://www.berzerkbaits.com/Ballistic_Bass_Gear.html

The berserk baits rod socks are great have all of mine personalized. The protective tip will save your rods. They also have a great rod carring case for the co anglers. Fold up nice when not in use and keep your rods protected when travling to tournys. Call Steve 209 357-8508 or goto Baitbarn in Waterford

I have about 15 Stik Jackets I bought from Tackle Warehouse....I HATE THEM!!! I can't keep the rod tips from going out thru the end of the things then its hard to get it back thru mesh material to remove the damn thing! Now if they added a protective end like the ones in the above posted links they would be the bomb (in my opinion) Tight Lines
