Affordable Prem Plus oil in Antioch???

Post by 185vsfrog »

I am wondering where you all get you Outboard oil for your Merc Opti's in Antioch area. I have been using Premium Plus since I bought my boat in 05'. I used to buy in at West Marine (Quicksilver Prem Plus) but they no longer carry it. I then bought it in bulk from Delta boats and they are now out of business. Lately I have been paying around $35 a gallon for Merc Prem Plus. I think last I checked it went up to $37 a gallon where I by it. Wow I feel like I am being raped at this price. I used to get it at around $20 a gallon if I remember correctly. Where can I find affordable oil around here????? I dont mind using Quicksilver as long as it is Prem Plus. They dont carry Prem Plus at WalMarts in the area. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Eagle Marine in Martinez. I buy my merc oil there in bulk with two 2 1/2 gallon containers. It's been a while since I purchased it. But you can call them for a price.

Walmart in Antioch carries the Quicksilver "Low Ash" Opti oil for $22 a Gallon now -- They only had one gallon left when I was there.

I got 4 gallons of Quicksilver Supreme for $17.99 for my EFI.

If the shelves are bare -- head up to the front desk (not the tire desk -- they seem sort of brain-dead :? ) and ask them to order how ever much you wish for you ~ and they will hold it before it goes onto the shelves even.
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Thanks guys. I think I am spending too much time running around with gas prices dropping. Seems like I am filling up with a gallon of oil every month or so.

I 2nd the vote on Boatmasters, I think it is like $19.00 a gal if you bring your own bottle. Plus the fellas down there are alot better people to business with, rather than donating to the machine known as Walmart CO.

Drew and Mike will hook you up!
