One last post.. darn I wrote a book tonight! Time for bed... but, I am captivated with this event and who's gonna take it...
The creme always rises to the top -
Aaron Martens is leading it again ---- who coulda guessed?
John Kerr back at the top --- I feel for SD guys who have to fish against Kerr & Mike Long as a team! Wow!
Dobyns in 3rd -- Guess those Powell rods work well too!
I don't see anyone winning it outside the top 3... but, if they stumble it'll be one of these guys who snatches the victory!
Stan Vanderburg in 4th -- I better start taping his radio shows I miss... He evidently knows what he's doing!
John Murray.& Tim Klinger -- 2 more we expected up there
Caruso and McCoy -- I don't know them, but well done!
Brent Ehrler -- This was my pick... Go get 'em Brent!
Some Side notes:
Another strong showing for SoCal guy Shaun Bailey...
Rick Clunn making a strong run with over 9 on day 2.
Joe Jr. - Just about 2 pounds out of the top 10.. I know he expected more, but still a fine showing so far
Rus Snyders -- Top producer from the Young Guns article in Basswest... I guess you can catch fish off of my boat, that's good to know!
Shockers:
These two guys aren't having the event I imagined.. but, both of them will get their names on the trophy soon enough...
Justin Kerr -- I doubt we ever see him have an event like this again.
Kyle Grover - 5.20 on day #2 with only 4 fish.. that's what I expected out of him. Not bad considering, when I was his age, I was picking pimples in the mirror and chasing girls around the high school dances!
Murph -
Sad to see Murph McBride slip, I was pulling for him to do well. What a nice guy! Melanie too! Hope he makes a strong day 3 comeback.

Rumor has it that Kyle had boat troubles on at least day one, that might make it difficult to catch your fish and especially so on Mead.

Definitley could be the case.. I figured him to do really well! Like I said in that message, he'll have plenty of days in the sun in the near future!
