FLW/stren has changed the top award for a co-angler with there longer being a contingency award for ranger boat owners (01-newer). No longer the ranger tour?

Never been the "ranger tour". Ranger Boats was/is a premier FLW sponsor and gave away a Ranger boat (no motor, just trailer) as a contingency prize to those co-anglers that were Ranger Boat owners. Originally it didn't have a year requirement, but that was changed a couple of years back to be 2000 or newer.

I appears they (Ranger Boats) have changed their marketing strategies to actually now give the boat away as part of a "true" purse (amount given away sans contigency perks) for the co-anglers. (A win situation for current and new co's)

ps. I was one of those that won an event (when it was called the Everstart Series) and didn't win the boat but I knew I couldn't win it going into the event. I still think $4,800 dollars and the experience was well worth the $300 entry fee (or whatever it was in '04)
