Is it true about Perris??

I heard from a friend the M.Guisti said that after the next ABA tourney that Perris is gonna b closed. Possibly for a long time???? Whats goin on with our so cal lakes. Any info would b helpfull especially cuz I'm gettin ready to close escrow on a house less than a mile from Perris. Hope this is not the case!! Mike ur input would really help. Thanks, Nate

I just got off the phone with a really informative guy at the DWR,and he explained to me the water pipe going into perris is gonna be shut down in mid dec. for about a month for construction so no water will be going into the lake only going out and the lake will be droping some.Then he explained that once the pipe is opened again the water they receive has been drastically reduced because they are forcasting drought conditions for the next year so the water district down here will not be receiving as much water as in the past.He told me there are no plans to shut the lake down at this time,but from what I understand it will be going down farther so I guess if it goes down below the ramp then?People better pray for lots of rain.

As long as they dont close it, I dont care about the water level. Just give me a launch ramp and Im good. If i was a rich OC guy than maybe I could afford a Vail membership but Im not so I will fish Perris especially since my new house will b a stones throw from the lake. Hippie ur a dalebert. There are no plans to close Perris at this time. The repair of the Santa Ana pipeline that is going to start in early December may cause the lake level to drop below where boats can launch. It is going to be close so we won't know until January if you are going to be able to launch or not. The current projections are for a dry to normal winter which means very little if any water going into Perris. If this happens when we lose launching will be anyones guess. Could be as early as January or may not be until June or not at all. Right now from what I am being told it does not look good.
