Guys,

How does the full moon affect stripers?

Though I am just learning, I would think that these silver submarines eat wherever there is current and the opportunity???

What does a full moon do to them? Do they stop feeding during the day and binge during the night season???

For me, just throw'in Topwater, I have to adjust my think'in alittle and throw more cast to a particular area. Their still there, I just may make the bait of choice react alittle more erractic then a normal retrieve.

I found today was a little tuff, but not impossible to bring them to the top. Wither their going to commit is another story. In 4 hrs I caught 3 up to 6lbs and had around 8 boil's with no return's (one,two tries and gone).

Throw'in just the lunker Punker, The 9" tail section on a LP has a more erractic swish than the 6" model. A pencil Popper may have caught them.

I metered com'in back up Old River, Striper's down 22 to hug'in the bottom. Water Temp was a degree warmer than yesterday at 53 where I was. 49 degree's was the coldiest I've found them and they where active more then.

Seems it goes day to day with the com'in of the full moon.

This period last month, during the full moon, topwater bite was absolutely crazy in Franks Tract from 7:00pm-1:00am in the morning! Pleasant and calm out there right now, guess the next three nights are worth a shot, better bundle up and take some hand warmers!

I think right now, if yer gonna throw topwater fer stripers, yer better off with a bait that has rattles in it and makes a bunch of erratic clicking noises!

I guess what I wanted to say, is if the stripers know full moon is coming, will they feed exclusively during the night?

I know they are eating machines and will eat whenever, but what has been your experience as you guys have been fishing them over the years?

I was in Franks last night (Wed) and they were really chewing the bone super spook. If I wasn't risking sure divorce I would definitely be out again tonight!
