+1 I didn't get the memo that we need a spreadsheet to figure out which of 5 fish needs to go away? I have a hard enough time catching five in the first place. Pick me up some oil Dan.Chaozu wrote:They weigh what they weigh. The only one that matters is the smallest fish. A balance beam is all you need.

I have been reading for years NCBF.BassTackleDepot wrote:Just goes to show you two people can look at something and see two different products as we have already sold 13 of these. It has a value to many..
BassCat09 I see you just registered in December but it has always been acceptable for paid advertisers to announce sales or items of interest on the forum.
At times personal agendas become painfully obvious to all those that read.
We believed this was an item many here would be interested in and it appears we were correct as we have received orders.

I knew it had become acceptable in our society to just say anything that people felt like saying and not have any concern for courtesy and concern for other people but it is sad to see the fishing community do it. Our sport is supposed to be above this kind of trash talking and **** posting. Is this the same crowd who raise heck about tournament payback percentages, respecting peoples water and sportsmanship in general. Look in the mirror some of you. You are why courtesy doesn't exist on the water any longer.
That thing goes to 7. So they are both screwed.hawgk9 wrote:HAHAHAHAH wow....
first off Dan.. now there is a product that will help you count PAST your IQ of 4 and MIKE... WTF you of all people should APPRECIATE ANYTHING that helps you COUNT to 5 and FIVE ONLY....
Really? But it is OK for a sponsor to take a shot (or two, Dan and Basscat 09) at a critic? If this is not the way we should be acting the first one that should be taking the high road is the person trying to win our business. Actually I would appreciate knowing the opinion on a new product that my business is trying to sell. 13 sold? Bravo. Looks like the consensus here is to not order too many. I do not think it is bad info to have as a retailer. BTW let me know if this would be better written in crayon so it is more legible for our board sponsor.Noluk wrote:No - to everyone hating on a product shown by a board sponsor. you JUST joined....whats your agenda.....hahahah LOLpitchin1 wrote:I do the web work for BTD and this is my personal opinion not BTD's. The Ardent culling system retails for this same amount 39.99 and you get culling balls. I believe it won awards at ICAST, The reasons I believe this is better:
1. It allows you to use both ounces and hundredths of an ounce.. Very important to me as many events go by hundredths
2. Its stable you don’t have to search around in your livewell looking for weights on balls.
3. It’s always there and out of the way. No storage after use etc. Unless you don’t want to mount it.
4. I can use the tags I prefer.
Of course you can get something like the Cul-M-Rite that is awesome but it's $200.00 and you need to be a little electronically savvy to use it. I use the Cul-M-Rite but I always have to train my partners on it and then worry if it's being done right or just do it myself. Plus the issues listed above. This is so simple anyone can look at it and understand it, and you can use the scale of your choice.
Ahh.......... I think all forums are about the sameSwimbait Wannabe wrote:Looks like the same old stuff here on this forum.!!!!

5bigbass wrote:Well I will have to say this. I own this unit and its worth every penny never having to chase the fish around in the livewell. I don't need a crayon to remember the weights. It mounts in my livewell and when I open it up. I know which fish to grab instantly for culling. I have a X-Tool and I prefer to use it as a scale and dial the weight with 1 finger and be done with it. I never have to worry about making sure I have culled the right fish when I weigh the next one. I have used this unit in 5 tournaments so far and I have noticed that I cull fish faster than before and I spend more time fishing and my success rate has gone up for collecting a check. I also know this that its made in Oregon out of 100% ABS plastic. JUst love how people can be negative with post before they try it...
Good luck to everyone out there and hope you catch the big one...

So you are saying that this is your product? You made it?5bigbass wrote:wow you guys are quick about responding. Yes this has been out for a year being used in several tournaments. I have had several people test and help make it better for fishing and culling in tournaments. If you have questions about it I will be more than glad to talk. No spam here... Just here to help
5bigbass wrote:yes... I had a friend call me on the phone and tell me about the forum posts about it so I logged on today and thought I would make a 3rd person comment.. but oh well.... I have been working on this for awhile now. And yes it works better than anything out there for keeping track of your fish and save time on culling. I have noticed in both team tournaments where there is 7 fish to cull and individual tournaments for 5 fish to cull... I have used everything out there and found issues with them that cuase anglers to spend more time than they need to to cull fish. I have timed people and saw a huge difference in culling time with this unit to everything else out there.. Its that 1 more cast... 1 more cast that wins it.

Once again, It doesn't matter how much money you waste producing a product. If you cant sell it there is no R.O.I. This thread started out as spam. Spam that has become part of the routine but still spam. I am not knocking WB's choice to allow advertisers to do this. It is your site.Dan McKenzie wrote:A lot of people are clueless to what it actually costs to produce something, be it in the US or China. Take into consideration tooling, obviously an investment had to be made on an injection mold tool, engineering/design costs, low quantity runs always cost more, shipping, and a whole host of other soft costs. Now calculate an R.O.I.
You might want to stick with what your doing, making a wage is by far much easier and much less risk than taking a chance with your own idea.

A couple of people offered their opinion of the product. Not positive opinions. Part of the routine on WB. Management/advertisers shouldn't knock posters right to do this. They should consider this information as valuable feedback. What would happen if everybody said "WOW, that is cool" then didn't buy? How much R.O.I. would there be?
There is enough bad blood with BTD and the fishing community. To have insults shot at legitimate comments from potential customers of the product/spam are uncalled for and unprofessional. Might affect R.O.I. don't ya think?
