DV and private boats.........is it true?
DV and private boats.........is it true?
I hear some private boats are being allowed to fish DV. Launching off a dirt ramp or something?.....sounds like the "Good Old Boy" network is still alive and well. Kinda not cool to those that aren't in the loop, but use that lake as their primary.

Re: DV and private boats.........is it true?
I heard the same thing on Monday and I called DVL and they said it wasn't true.
Re: DV and private boats.........is it true?
I know of one instance. It wasnt to fish though. It was to ughhh survey.. yeah survey...
If i could make up excuses to get my boat on there i would to.

Re: DV and private boats.........is it true?
And I was the one time Mr. Curry is talking about. It was before the Bass-a-thon in my boat to get the Lowrance info that was used at the show for their seminar. With the DFG and under approval from MWD. Not sure Jerry why you are asking now. My suggestion is if you want to fish DVL from a boat other than a rental, get a job with the DFG. Kyle and I are now part of the good ol boys Perris club. If anyone is getting to launch at DVL in their own boats, set the hook for me a few times, more power to ya. Rick G.

Re: DV and private boats.........is it true?
I dont see the big deal anyway. So some guys got to launch their boat and catch some fish. Big deal. The Perris club is lame, infact the whole scene around here is lame. This man is SD bound next season. Perris, Smellsomemore, the rat fest they call silverwood and 5mph skinner. Can i get a GHEY. Opening up DVL is the only thing that can save the Inland Empire region, especially if we lose Perris.

Re: DV and private boats.........is it true?
Come on down to the two lake wonder we call San Diego. Then you will know the real meaning of GHEY. Face it, Southern California is ruined. Guess that's what you should expect from a place that is run/mismanaged by water distribution operators. They do not have a problem taking millions from the Department of Boating and Waterways. As long as they don't have to use it on boating.

Re: DV and private boats.........is it true?
yeah it is pretty sad state of affairs around here. The people in SD are way nicer and mellow. The scenery is better and hopefully the water situation is a little more stable than up here. Pre fish a lake just to have it close months later. GHEY. If I had the coin I'd just focus on the big ponds, but im a just a young man making due with what i got. I just keep rotating from whereever I can still float my champ.

We live in a desert folks. What can we say. There is a great big pond just west of us that is full of grateful fish. You do have options dontchaknow.

Re: DV and private boats.........is it true?
just kinda curious, I hear the Troutbait bite is really good with bikers seing trout chasers in the back of lot's of coves with guys from rentals getting those same fish. Would be really fun to do whatever kind of volunteer program to get a bit of fishing time there. Don't do a ton of the fresh anymore but that place is great........just kinda missin it

Thanks for the North, period!!! Sure glad I was able to move up here - the fishing is pretty tough right now, but at least I can get on the water any time day or night, unabated, and without any rubber-glove inspections or restrictive lock.Alex M. wrote:Ummmmm........Thank God for the north end of SoCal...Pyramid, Pyramid, and Pyramid....

Don't mean to rub it in, as I can feel everyone's pain down there, and certainly hope for y'all's sake that things stabilize on all fronts soon. Anyone want a getaway, get in touch.

Just wait Roger. Wait until your favorite tract gets de-weeded right before the tournament that you were pre-fishing it for.
