ISE Phenix Rods-awesome

Post by bigdog »

A special thank you goes out to Vince Borges from Phenix Rods at the Sac ISE. I bought their new swimbait rod (7"11") at the show and Vince hooked me up with a GoreTex Phenix logo jacket! A very nice jacket, is 2 jackets in one, very cool. I have tried the rod a few days ago and just love the way it feels. A top quality product. There really is alot of great rods on the market, add Phenix to the list! This is my first swimbait spacific rod and it just launches the bait, has a graet feel to it. Anyone looking for a new rod of any type, I reccomend checking out Phenix before you buy.
Thanks Vince!

Thanks Bigdog, Glad you like it. The jackets are very nice and for those of you that are looking for a new rod there are only a couple that compare to the new Phenix Ultra MBX. Only thing is they retail for $480.00-$750.00. The Phenix retails from $189.00-$259.00. Not to bad for a Toray T4o blank w-Fuji SiC guides. Too, we have yet to find a lighter rod. ( and we have weighed almost all of them). For those of you that did not get to purchase at the show you can now order them from several sponsors of this site.

Thanks Again!

Sounds great Big Dog..
I purchased my 1st Phenix Rod's (3 of them) at the Bass-A-Thon and at Save-On Tackle in the same week and I must say...
I do not miss my Loomis' one bit..

The Ultra MBX Series is the way to go and it's only a matter of time before everyone jumps on a feels what we feel.. Just wait til you fish the X-10, X-12 and the Drop-Shot rods...
You will be saying, "OMG, I can't believe these rods" over and over again..

BTW..That jacket is GREAT, it has saved me on several very cold and rainy days already.. I love it!

Vince... appreciate the offer. I may be taking a trip up to the Delta to see the toona dood sometime in the spring to see what all the fuss is about in Oakley. Meanwhile, I'll hook up with Rod since he is a bit closer.
