The New Dobyns Rods are Here!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the new Dobyns Rods will start shipping this coming Monday
January 26.
For those who did not get to see them at ISE, they will be at your local tackle store soon.

Just as an FYI these are only the Champion series rods. The Champion Extremes will be arriving in approximately another two-three weeks.

Yes - I turned mine in 11 months ago ..... So it should be back in my hands soon.

Yes -- The Dobbyn's staff knew of the problem with my model and was waiting for another shipment of the V1 to come in for replacement. They had some same problems as well and those rods were not released to the markets on Gary's orders.

A pro-staffer loaned me his personal rod and recommended that I wait it out ~ so I decided to wait as they were reworking/correcting the problems ..... that has turned into the V2.


Nothing is in a snap of the fingers for anyone's personal satisfaction in todays world -- but quality and personal words live forever with us for the end product.

so if the gen 1 rod breaks they are replacing them with gen 2 rods? was the problem with the champion rods or the champion extreme rods? or both?

Nice to see. Ive been sitting on a broken rod for eight months. I hope the warranty will be smooth.

Hey Don - I can tell you this - they probably haven't checked email in the last couple of days - they have been busier than one armed paper hangers trying to get the rods shipped. I will let Gary know about your concern and see that he contacts you.
