18,000 hybrids released into Lake Elsinore

Post by GKramer »

Hey, they have stripes.

The south's only natural lake just added a big truckload of 7 inchers this week that the City purchased at the bargain basement price of 15 cents apiece. Tremendous growth in this shad-stuffed 3200 acre bottom has already produced a lot of 3 to 6 pounders, several 7's and 8's and the local tackle shop weighed an 11-0 from previous plants. With a 2-fish, 18-inch limit, there will likely be some pretty extreme action by summer time.
