Welcome Phenix to Westernbass and BasswestUSA

Post by DAN »

Phenix Rod's entered the bass fishing world in 1977 and for many years was really popular with fisherman throughout the West. Three years ago Phenix Rod's was purchased and the line completly revamped. Phenix Rodʼs bass fishing tradition is now reflected in their Ultra MBX series. The Ultra MBX blanks are constructed of Toray T40 high modulus graphite and carbon fiber weaved together resulting in a strong and lightweight blank. All Ultra MBX rods feature Fuji SiC guides for increased casting distance and Phenixʼs very own specially designed reel seat. This reel seat allows you to feel the blank directly for increased sensitivity. Additionally, the way the blank goes through the reel seat, it elevates your palm for ergonomic comfort and increasing casting accuracy and balance, while at the same time reducing fatigue.

Features:
*Constructed of high modulus graphite and carbon fiber
*Split grip for maximum sensitivity and touch
*Fuji SiC guides

I can say for sure I was hesitant to leave/switch over from GLoomis but since I gave them a try I will never go back..
Phenix Rods are hands down the best bang for your buck!

Thanks Dan, Rodger, and bigdog. I will say this you will not find a rod with the same quality blank and components within $150.00 of the Phenix. Nor will you find a lighter more sensitive rod.

Manny is great to deal with and while your there you can load up on all the cool tackle and swimbaits he has. His add is at the top of this page. Check it out.
