WARNING ! - RE: A1 Moving and Storage

Post by bubba »

Hey Guys, Just wanted to let everyone know about my very bad experience with this company so the same thing won't happen to you. I hired this firm to move me and my family a week ago. They sent 4 guys over to do the move. I had previously move all my fishing tackle and rods so all they had to move was the furniture. To make a long story short, they dinged up several pieces of furniture, they sepent a lot of time taking breaks to maximize their hourly charge (4 breaks in the first 3 hours) and lost the fasteners when they disassembled some of the furniture. Then they weren't able to reassemble it afterwards so they left it in pieces. Well unfortunately thats not the end of the story. My borther saw a couple of the guys checking out my fishing rods in the garage while they were suppose to be moving cabinets there. I find out the next day that they had cut the line and removed two reels off my rods. I'm now out a Castaic Super Free and a Garcia 6500C4. I called the company they basically said they would talk to the guys and gat back to me. Needless to say, they never called my back and when I called them they said their guys didn't take the stuff. Well I know it was them and if you are planning on a move STAY AWAY FROM A1 Moving Company from Fairfield as their employees will just rip you off the company won't do anything about it. I've filed a police report.

Wow, that really hits home. I am moving at the begining of Nov. I hired a local company. I will be on my toes, that is for sure. I am planing on doing the same, moving all my fishing gear myself. My girl friend says, "Let them do it"...I said, Ahhhhh No way!
