Don't worry kane. When you get your magazine mine will be a week after that. I have been a subscriber from day one and I seem to get my mag last. Every 2 months or more we have to have a bass west magazine post. BE careful, they get a little pissy on the forum when it comes to bass west being late.

Who is on the cover of the latest edition?

Post by Topwater Terry »

The most recent one I can find is with Bret Hite wearing a cape, is there a more recent one? A really great magazine, hopefully will start getting here on time...

Mr Justin Lucas
Here's a qoute from sTony
May/June was the last issue they put out in 2008. Several changes happened since. The editor left the book, the art director was gone also and the magazine was in limbo until I came on board.

Jan/Feb began mailing the first week of January and that process goes on for sometime, as any magazine publisher can tell you. Might take up to a month to get the book and that's out of the hands of the publisher and all that work on the book and is strictly in the hands of the postal service.

The Mar/Apr book is in production now and should begin mailing the final week of February. Folks wanting more information can always contact me and get real answers to sometimes hard but honest questions.

Thanks to all,

sTony
And March April will be even better!

Pretty sure I already answered you in PM but here ya go in public; if you subscribed for a three year subscription you will receive 18 issues. The Jan/Feb issue is mailing, the pace its mailing is currently out of our control. The Mar/Apr issue is in production. The May/Jun issue is in editorial now.

The current staff of the magazine has only been around since late November '08. We'll keep working to get a timely book out, not much we can do to undo the past. Readers can decide if they want to give us a chance or not - it's their right to do so.

Thanks,

sTony

I personally am afraid to get Bass West on a normal basis... Afraid that the quality of the articles will go down.

I seriously have no issue waiting around for articles as long as they are good.

A lot of other magazines which are coming out every month or two months produce trash just to fill the pages of their magazines.

Bass West is the only magazine I can read front to back so hopefully this never changes. That's more important to me than getting a mag in my mailbox on time.

+1

It sure beats reading a newspaper type about salmon and halibut.

I havent been a subscriber for years and I remember when i was it seemed like I got only about half the issues...Hopefully the new staff can improve things. I would like to see some articles on the Western Stuf instead of just the Eastern part of the country. We fish a lot differently out here and personally I think our clear lakes and reservoirs make it even tougher.

kane-o,

PM me your postal mailing address and I'll send you a copy of the Jan/Feb issue. When you get the subscription issue in the mail please let me know via PM so I can get an idea of how long it's taking to reach you.

Once you've got both copies, if you don't mind, I would ask that you take one of the copies and give it to a fishing buddy or perhaps a kid that fishes but doesn't get the book.

As soon as I have copies of Mar/Feb I'll do the same thing and mail you out a copy if you'll pass the second copy along to someone else.

This is a one time offer just to you. It's my way of thanking you for your patience.

Okay Guys, I just received my new issue and it's GREAT as usual! I think I have figured out why we all notice the time in between issues. It is because we read them, in their entirety, the minute we receive them, so it's seems like an eternity until the next one arrives! I am sure that all aspects of the magazine (and its delivery) will improve now that sTony is on board. Thanks!

I got mine yesteday, and I live next to LAX.
I don't even bother looking at the date, since it doesn't really matter anyway.
When it comes, I'm happy. And surprised.
