Wounded Warrior Rules?

Post by Steve1257 »

Can the boater fish? If so do his fish count? Can a friend ride along?I was at the weigh-in last year and a staff member told me no to the above. Some official rules posted would be good to avoid any misunderstanding.

There was no problem or misunderstanding last year. This is for fun for them - there is no entry fee & no money at stake. There really are no winners or losers. It's for their FUN and ENJOYMENT.

Rules - we don't need no stinkin' rules

Here is your tournament guidelines:
1. Boater and 2 Service members fishing as a team.
2. 5 fish limit
3. 13" size limit
4. No live bait
5. All must wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket while the big motor is running.

call me and we can discuss the ride along issue.

Without a doubt..... Everybody there is a winner!

What an awesome way to give a little bit back to the soldiers who put their lives on the line for our freedom.

It was my understanding last year that the boater could assist the servicemen with their fishing. But only the fish caught by the serviceman would be weighed in. The boater could fish to try to find the bite and have some fun and that worked out great. Its all about the warriors having a good time. I had a great time.

Should I assume we should bring 3 PFD's with us?

And are we supplying all the tackle, rods and reels? If so, no problem I believe I have enough to supply half of Camp Pendleton

You supply the gear and the know-how, and the PFD's (Tunaman, sorry I fogot to bring the borrowed one up for the winter nutcase, I'll try for the spring one, any date yet?).

We just put the largest fish we all caught, as a group, in the livewell, so it's pretty fun for all. They win the award. You help them catch fish, they are number one. Kinda like a guide service. It's a blast. Hope that helps.

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.
