weedless wacky rig dart head senko

We were fishing on Shasta last month and talked with a guy on the Pit arm who told us about rigging senkos wacky style and weedless with a modified dart head. He said he removed part of the lead on the dart head to get the weight down around an 1/8 oz.. We thought we understood him but when we tried it later we couldn't seem to get it rigged the way he described it. Is anyone familiar with this method. I thought perhaps he may not have meant completely weedless but close. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like someone doesn't want to pay the 7 bucks for the wacky jighead hooks used on the flick shake worms...and then ties his own weed gaurd on the hook. For those with the time, tying your own saves a ton of loot.
