ABA Clear Lake this Sunday!!! ... Important Please read!!!

Post by 1socalbass »

Due to the forecast for severe weather on Sunday, Ed Clarke is considering postponing the Clear Lake tournament scheduled for February 15th. Currently the forecast is for heavy rains with very strong winds. The wind direction that is forecasted will make is dangerous for launching, motoring and loading. Safety is our #1 concern as well as avoiding boat damage. Ed will wait until after the midnight forecasts tonight to make his decision. Please call Ed on his cell phone tomorrow morning between 8:00AM and 9:00AM for the decision. We will also post the information on www.americanbass.com on the Clear Lake region page. If this event is postponed, Ed will reschedule and announce the date as soon as we have DFG confirmation. Sorry if this potential change causes any inconvenience.

Thanks again guys!

If any of you know other teams please call them with the news and ask them to call me in the morning. With the low water the weigh in would be dangerous if we get the wind they are calling for, and launching your boat would be difficult not to say getting it back out.

Just thinking of you.

Thanks

I doubt you southern boys have ever seen a Clear Lk. 6-8 ft. wave on your little ponds.

Great move ABA...safety is number one and it will not be a good day to on Clear Lk. or the Delta on Sunday with the forecast wind speeds.

Well the forecast is Dismal so I will be rescheduling the Sunday event to a later date. We will try and contact everyone, but if you know of anyone fishing this event please let them know of this post. Most of you know me and my wife, we hate to reschedule but your safety and the possible damage to your baots is more important than this one event. We do appreciate all of you and your support and hope you understand. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 707-228-6597. As soon as we have a new date we will post it, Thank You for understanding.

I am a little bummed. I have been fishing in this cr@p 4 days a week and was looking forward to fishing my first ABA run by my buddy Ed. Oh well guess I will stay at it next week pre fishing for the West Coast Pro Am... and yes I am gonna stick every fish that bites cause it keeps you warmer than shakin em off :!:
Paul, yes you are a wimp, just think we could be back fishing Pyramid this time of year where the high is lower than the low up here right now!
