3rd generation Bac Rac now available

Post by Will Hesch »

I wanted to announce the nice website that Tom Leogrande did for me www.bac-rac.com , it has pictures of the 3rd generation Bac Rac. I think this is a great tool for co-anglers, it's now available at Tackle Warehouse and Inland Marine as well as directly from the factory.

How does the unit fasten to the lid?

Cool, I'll pick one up from Frank locally at Inland Marine.

Will, what is the difference between the 2nd and 3rd generation BacRac besides the color?

First, Rico, there's a 90 degree bend in the bottom of the Bac Rac, it locks the units in place when the lid is closed. The Bac Rac needs no fasteners to install, that's the beauty of the product. It does come drilled however, for those who may want to use it as a permanent installation-anywhere.

Long, the difference is that now there is a tip Rac and a butt end Rac and the foam is black. Maybe you can see the difference in this photo?

I did notice the slots were wider on the butt end.

My initial thoughts were to run 8 rods, 4 butt ends on each side. Does the 3rd generation not allow this if the slots are too narrow?
