Shimano reels on Ebay

Post by FSHRFWL »

I see alot of brand new shimano reels for sale on ebay and was wondering if there is anything wrong with them? They are usually a few dollars cheaper than most stores. Just making sure they are not seconds or refurbished reels. Thank You

Unless the difference of out of state for saving in sales tax will save you some monies in shipping.... Help support your local dealer.

If you can save $15 of better on-line once purchased to the door.... I would go for it. If not -- ask your local dealer if he can match that price even or atleast meet you in the middle.
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Some of these Ebay dealers are obtaining reels through shady channels. We ask that you support your local dealer, especially in these tough times.

Now is the time more then ever to support your local dealer, at least give them the respect of asking them to match the offer or sale prices you are seeing, most will try.

We need to help keep these guys open, they are there for us when we need them now its our turn to be there for them.

Guys Im not trying to be an idiot. But, if you arent paying 179.99 for your Curado you are getting it through a shady channel.

If you are buying one used from a pro staffer thats one thing but new.... then I'd pass on the deal.

This isnt a reel company like some that can takea 269.99 reel and you can find it for 124 and noone cares.

HEY FSHRFWL,
All the guys are giving great advice about supporting your local dealer :D , however you can find some great buys on Ebay 8) ! Being an owner of a bait and tackle store we have sold many great products on ebay at great prices. You just have to investigate.
Good Luck :)

And people wonder why the economy is in trouble

Our dealers sell at MSRP. We have dealers that have an EBay store and they sell at MSRP. Anyone selling under new reels under MSRP on that site is shady and I would avoid doing business with them.

I tend to wonder where this guy "reelseller" gets his reels from on ebay..
He has reels that they don't even sell anywhere else..

i.e. Shimano Fireblood Spinning Reel in which I bought one from him and I love it!
AMATEURS work until they get it RIGHT..
PROFESSIONALS WORK until they CAN'T get it Wrong..
