Insurance and Extended Warranty Coverage

Post by SFD3RNGR »

Looking for advise or experiences with sponsored insurance companies as my plan is soon to expire. Maybe a "new" ride is the answer? I am sure the subject has been discussed, but wasn't in the market then. thanks for the help. John Loverin

Hi,
Fish On Insurance is really dedicated to the tournament fisherman and they know the type of coverage we need for our bass boats. Ask for Dawna when you call and she can answer all your questions.

They are at the top right of the forum page as a sponsor. Here is their link- http://www.fishoninsurance.com/ . I have been with them for a few years and really happy!

Thanks, Rod

John - give Gayla a call at Sawyer Cook insurance. They are fisherman who also provide insurance, so they know what a fisherman needs. Not saying you MUST go with them, but give them a chance.

Let see, are you looking for both , new company for boat insurance and a warranty company for after market warranty on you motor?
Shop around for insurance, look for companies that offer stuff for your specific needs, I've used Sawyer Cook for 20 years, had 1 claim and the adjuster did everything but accusing me of fraud, or maybe he did, quite the a**%*!e still i stayed with them when it all got sorted out.
extended warranty companys, I'd say save your money and cross your fingers.

As for extended warranty, I had Pinnacle Protection. They have a web site. It is a bit pricey, about 2 grand I think, but I can tell you that I blew my motor with 1 month left on the extension and they replaced it with a factory power head that would have tipped the scales at about $9500.00 without the plan. Yeh, you can just cross your fingers, but you know what they say, "pay now, or pay later". It's your choice but i'm glad I payed up front.

I second that.
I had a boat and trailer totaled a year ago, and they were terrific. Fast, stayed on top of it without me having to plague them all the time, and gave me a fair shake.
And Gayla is tops.

Sawyer Cook worked for me.
One claim and they took care of it no problem.
In the end, that's what you want.

Thanks for the help, I am making the phone calls and crossing my digits (fingers) is out, there is to much at stake. I have Intercontinental warranty and they were a hassle on a minor issue, I can only imagine if the fix was major. John
