Palin owes back taxes

Post by smittyfish »

I guess in the spirit of the democrat cabinet picks Sarah Palin also owes back taxes. She got paid per diem for 300 days that she lived at her home instead of the governor's mansion in Juneau.
By living in her own home she got paid $17,000 per diem. That now has to be claimed as income on her taxes.

I guess it isn't just the dems that get caught. Of course she was just running for VP.

Why do you think someone has to pay taxes on per diem? I receive per diem and I don't pay taxes on it. Do you have a link to the story your quoting?

Actually the State of Alaska admitted that they made the mistake and told Palin that waht she did was allowable so she did not cheat on her taxes and will be getting a 1099 from the state. I usually wait for a 1099 before I write a check. Nice try though.

You are implying that Governor Palin intentionally avoided paying her taxes. http://www.adn.com/palin/story/693695.html

The first paragraph starts;

Gov. Sarah Palin must pay income taxes on thousands of dollars in expense money she received while living at her Wasilla home, under a new determination by state officials.
Democrats don't get caught, they just get nominated for cabinet positions. http://iowahawk.typepad.com/iowahawk/20 ... chle-.html

Doesn't anyone think it is strange that she gets paid per diem to live in her own home?

By the way Ringer, did I ever say that she "cheated" on her taxes?

No wonder it came from Politico, I wonder what their agenda is? They must be thinking that BHO might have a hard time in 4 years and trying to come up with anything on the top contenders.

Do they have any yet? Both Palin and McCain are washed up politically.

Big deal

Far more critical and pertinent that our new head of the IRS can't seem to do his taxes properly and only remembers his errors once nominated.

Please. Get real.

Palin is so over...hello?

Smitty-the difference is that she did not avoid paying taxes vs the new POTUS picks that actually cheated on their income taxes knowing that they were defrauding our government. I think Palin is about the worst thing to happen to the republican party but I don't believe she is a crook like most democrats.

HAHAHA,

Palin was the second coming of Christ to the republican party until she lost. Now she is just old news and was never anyone's pick.

It is not becoming to turn on your own party.

Smitty – where do you get the idea she is not no ones pick – I would vote for her in a minute. She is better then BHO, Obiden, and OMcCain! She was the only one that was not of the same old Washington DC scene.

Now ODave will be jumping on the keyboard and defend our liberty and tell us all the things he think she did wrong – even if they are not true.

Did you guys hear that the New York Time’s stock is selling for less then a paper cost!

I like Palin fine but she was so damaged by the media helping the dems out that she won't help the next run. Look at Jindal, Pawlenty etc. After the economy chokes and Pelosi is allowed to do her thing my bet is the democrats will end up out of power in Congress for another 20 years. I think common racists like me are also getting tired of the constant race baiting garbage from the new black power commentators so race will not be a benefit in the next election. Maybe the Hollywood elite will even get pissed since Obama has broken every single promise so far. He now is keeping the torture option, he is going to keep the ability to arrest and hold people without due process, he has not closed Gitmo and he has put even worse crooks in the admin than Bush did. Change is a comin' just like always. Only difference today is we are all broke when it comes.

You can attack me as much as you want but it won't change the facts and the facts are there are many republicans like yourself, Marty and others that are cut and runners. You lost the election so now you want to cut and run on this country. Many like you are also hyprocrites, never heard a bad word about anything that your boy did but all of a sudden you compare Obama with Bush and try to say he is wrong. Then you guys are just plain bitter and angry and all you want to do is attack because that makes you feel better. Last but not least you and your type are unamerican, when things don't go your way you quit and you hope for this country to fail.

Like I said before Mexico is ripe for revolution.

For one thing, I never called Palins daughter any names but I did question the parentage of Trig Palin.

The reason I call you and Marty unamerican is not because you are republicans but because you said you hope Obama fails, now you Marty added some strings to your statement but you still want Obama to fail and anyone that wants our president to fail wants our country to fail and that is why YOU and Marty are unamerican.

Oh, ok, those are not strings attached............right.

The sooner you come to a realization that the country is tired of your type and your politics the better off you will be. You and your ideas got stomped in the November election, this country gave Obama a mandate and he is taking it to heart and the best you can do is hope for our country to fail and bring back your old tired ideas and the same ole thing with your ignorant Sarah Palin. Wake up or move out.

Fishahallic, you take liberties in characterizing other peoples view and distort their words. They, myself included, want President Obama's policies to fail, not the country. We want an America based on the principles on which it was founded. Liberty, freedom, the right to live our lives as we see fit. We want a government that is constrained by the constitution and is limited in its power.
Barack Obama placed his hand on the Bible and took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States.
Oh, that's right. He had a do-over without the Bible. I wonder if he had his fingers crossed too?

Ok, I will include you in being unamerican and against this country. I believe when the dems wanted us out of Iraq you republicans were calling them unamerican. But you don't want us out of Iraq you want this countries president to fail because you don't like him and if you want the president to fail you want the country to fail and so I say again you and those like you are truley "UNAMERICAN"

I am sure you were most likely one of the ones saying that Obama would not place his hand on a bible but instead use the Koran, well guess what you were wrong then and your wrong now. If I am not mistaken the president had to do the oath over because your republican chief justice screwed it up maybe by accident and maybe not.

Listen Rod just scouted Mexico for takeover and I am sure there will be room for you and Marty in the new cabinet when the revolution is resolved.

Anytime we say Obama, you say look at what the Rs did, you say we attack but you're the one calling a woman and her daughter names.
I say I would take Bush over what the Dems have offered and that we need less spenping, You call it unamerican. I say that what Obama is doing will lead to failure, because each time in the past that it has been tried, IT FAILED. I WOULD LOVE FOR OBAMA TO BE THE GREATEST PRES. WE EVER HAD, IF HE WASNT KILLING THE COUNTRY I LOVE ! But I think he is, so if you like bigger Gov. if you think the the Gov. should care for you cradle to grave[ with national care comes a board to decide who gets the care], then Obama is your man. Hes not mine.

If the Dems had offered something better than Kerry & the inventor of the internet. We would not even be talking about Bush. But they did'nt and he did the best he could with what was delt him.

:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Do you live in some alternative reality???? Every time the Dems said Bush did something wrong the Reps would all yell in unison "Ya, but Clinton...."

Whether Obama will or won't fix the problems that we are now experiencing let me make one thing perfectly clear: George W. Bush and everyone that voted for him caused these problems. I predicted that he would break our economy if elected while he was running back in 1999 and I was 100% correct....The trickle down model failed under Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. Prior to Obama, we'd only had a Dem in office for 8 years since 1980 and yet those 8 years were marked by record prosperity....I can hear you, "Ya but Clinton cheated on his wife...." Who cares!!! He balanced the budget and created prosperity for all of us...Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush W. failed to do either of these things despite the fact that they held the office a total of 20 years....

And yes as a final note according to facts uncovered in the media Palin is a hypocrite, her son is a trouble maker, her daughter is a ho, and she may well be the mother of Trig, making her a two time unwed teen mother....She is something to be proud of...Perhaps her and her mom could run for president and vp in 2012....I hear that Mustang Ranch is closed....The feds could reopen it, with those two in office it would be the perfect place to set up a 'Western Whitehouse'

Maybe I'll stick around...you know, sort of a personal fairness doctrine to offset the Rush Limbaugh talking points that the lockstep neocons are so eager to post.....You can attack the attack, but you can't attack the facts...Reagan, Bush, W....20 years in the White House=economic failure......Clinton 8 years in office = prosperity for all, a balanced budget and massive economic growth, growth at a level not seen since the post WWII boom.....If Barrack can do half as well as Clinton, we have some bright days ahead, courtesy of the Democratic Party and everyone that supported them in '08

And while Clinton was in office there was unprecedented growth, built on the internet bubble, that once people realized that most of the enterprises provided neither a product or a service that part of the enconomy went to hell in a hand basket..But there sure was a whole lot of economic growth while it lasted..If all that growth was sustainable, it would still be there..If all that growth and prosperity were real and not fleeting, we wouldn't be in the economic crisis we are now..There is plenty of blame to go around for the current economic condition for both political parties..

Just curious, if the rampant spending during the Bush administration is the cause of the current collapse, how is the spending of the Obama administration going to solve the problem..That is saying simply too much spending caused the problem but we will fix it with more spending, or is it saying Republican spending is bad, but Democrat spending is good..Government spending is government spending..It all comes from the tax payers, you know, we the people..

And just for everyones edification, I am not a Republican, nor am I a Democrat..I am an American..
