wow how cool is this thred. Im gona print it so I have somethin to look at when I get my head handed to me in a tourney someday.

hopefully not this tourney, got a 9.5 yesterday and another 12 today. things are getting beat up purty bad and theres atleast 10 guys Im gona have to battle water with. its so much being at the right place at the right time so Im gona need some luck that someone hasnt just left when I pull up. Iv got 15 solid spots that have winning fish but they dont read the internet and bite when they want not when there suposed to.

sorry brian after a few more days Im lowering my guess

Just got back yesterday from the trip to Don Pedro, the Delta and a few days teaching a photo workshop in Yosemite (snow, rain and sun). Man it poured so much I could not get the aluminum boat back on the hitch it was so heavy, had to bail it out for 15 minutes, plus the frozen slush from all the snow the next day did not help.

Well, God's got a sense of humor. I bet on Mark 'the Chief' Torez to win the event and guess who I draw as a VTO? You got it. He was a wealth of info and man do I have confidence in a lot of swimbaits just because of all of the stories he told while he toughed it out and tossed most of his collection. He answered every question that I could think of, about 4,029 or so, plus or minus one. :P

He pulled out and tossed some historic baits that swam just fine too. I had a blast, thanks Chief for making it all worth while (well, you could have made it a tad better by catching a 3.9 pounder or so and I would have won the darn rod too! (And with all the stories of lunkers caught and lost over the DECADES I think he fudged with the '30 over 10' reported numbers on his bio by 10 fold- funny dude!

See ya next week maybe Chief, going fishing near you to celebrate the wife's b-day. I'll send a pm.

PS Big thanks to Justin Warmack for arranging the 'floatel' house boat to share, what a nice accomodation- more like the Ritz with a motor.

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.
