Mossdale Boats is Open

On September 11, 2008 I posted a message stating that Mossdale Boats would (most likely) be closing its doors on September 15, 2008 due to the effects of a weak economy on the business.

I also stated that "...there have been discussions centered around restructuring the business" in an effort to reduce operating costs and ensure that the company is viable in the long-term.

After making some changes to the organization, I am happy to report that Mossdale is open for business and continues to be Northern California's exclusive Bass Cat dealer.

Needless to say, unit sales of boats have decreased over the past two years. However, we have seen a modest turn-around (increase) in sales this year which is encouraging to the management team.

That being said, now is a very good time to buy a new boat. We are currently having an inventory liquidation sale which equates to deep discounts for consumers. We have 3 Bass Cat's on the lot that we need to sell before ordering new models for 2009.

On another note, I am working with Lowell Hackney on this years Mossdale Turkey Shoot series. This is a fun fishing event we have on the Delta (Ladd's Marina) on the second Wednesday of every month until daylight savings time ends in November. The next event will be in April. I will send additional details in a separate post with a flyer attached.

hey steve, this is a open forum thank u for hiring quality mechanics at ur dealership...first it was jerry now david, both great mechanics and very nice young men....had a problem on the water today and david had it diagnosed and fixed in under two hours...great service..told him i was glad there were young men around to take care of us old farts and keep us fishin....will be back for any an all service on the merc....thks again....jack
