How depressing that would be going to the scales with a 15-2 and not getting big fish!!!

Wow,

How would you like to be the guy that caught a 15 lber only to be beat by a few Oz for pig fish :(

Texas has the 4 day weight limit record now and Clear Lake being 2nd, I would love to fish Texas but all my ex's live in TX :)

Basschamps has great payouts for the entry fee..... Too bad they dont have a western division....

I would just hate to have a 15, miss the big fish check, and on top of that have 37lbs and get 2nd! Thats rough..

They must not have a "Rookie" League back there. If everyone had to fish in the same tournaments, like when I was starting out, we would have fields like that too.

That's actually a low number for Bass Champs. I have fished it on Rayburn with 307 boats. We don't have "rookie" leagues persay, but we do have circuits that's geared more towards the "Future Pro's". Bass Champs has 4 different regions in Texas and they all have big turnouts. $280.00 with a guaranteed $20,000.00 first place. It used to be a boat for first but the anglers wanted cash so they switched to cash last year. Very well run tourney with great guys running it!
Oh Well,maybe another day!!!

how about the Bass Champs Dodge Mega Bass two day big bass challenge that just aired?

two six hour days with a Dodge Ram given out to big fish every hour...with a sub $300 entry

casts a bit of a shadow on the HBC to say the least

In Texas, there are three religions.
High school football, bass fishing, and animal husbandry.
I'm not sure which order they should be put in.

If I had to live in Texas (which I already did one time) it would be in Austin, very nice country. Now Houston on the other hand is the armpit of the world.
