Jaco is the only place to buy a prop unless you are in a hurry ory or emergency. Every dealer in CA charges gold for props and parts.

It would be interesting to know how many folks have used this Company. I run a Tempest Plus 25p three blade and I'm interested in getting another for a back up.
New!
Thanks,
Rick...

Thanks Rod!
My question is regards to Jaco Marine I have not heard of them. Inland Marine on the other hand has done much of my service and the folks there have treated me very good!

thanks,
Rick....

Wasn't meant to run over the lady, just letting the fellow anglers here in on how to save some big money. I try to support local business, but when you are asking $100-200 more on a prop, you have to shop around....

Jaco hasa bad reputation

Post by Old dog »

Jaco marine tried to sell me 2 different boats 5 years apart. They represented them as new, but I found out directly from Stratos that they were demo boats. Stratos sent me the printout on one and it had over 60 hrs. on it. Be very carefull when dealing with them. When I confronted them with the facts thay stopped returning my calls.

Putting aside where you get the prop from, I gotta say, that FURY is a beast on my lead sled. (482vs Merc 175 24p). Can't keep a hat on. :(
And when I circle around to pick up those hats, the sucker doesn't break loose on a hard turn. Holeshot is awesome, haven't GPS'd top speed yet. But it'll pull 5800rpm. Used to use a 23P Tempest and got 6K. I'm one pitch up, and because the blade area is bigger on the Fury, my 24 is more like a 25p. Gotta tell ya, I'm lovin this prop. :D
And for the record, I did get it from Frank at Inland after trying one of the demo blue props. Fk'in ugly to have a pastel blue prop on the back of your boat. Even then, he had to call a couple of times to get his demo back
Now, if I can just keep it off the rocks at Mandy......

Hey Rod,

Unfortunately the Fury's are not available in 18 or 19, they only
offer the Fury's in 24-27 pitch.

Sorry about that.

Bass, I also have the same boat /motor as you, run a 25p tempest right now that Phil's tuned up when I bought it, this boat does haul the mail but have been wanting to try the fury in 25p. Did you try a 25 or is a 24 what the prop guys say to turn when changing, at present there is no trouble getting 5800 at wot with the tempest. thanks, Danny

Saw the postings early Fri AM (17th).....and for just @ $500. got my Fury delivered from JACO. New in the box is NEW in the box and coming from Tenn. lack of tax doesn't hurt either.

Hey Guys and Christine,

I don't know this company or "mercgirl" personally, but I would like to point out that this demo program is awesome, if you are anywhere close to them. I would gladly pay a little more for the prop from a local business and know that it is the right prop for my boat! I have a couple of props that I purchased sight unseen (new) but not the right prop for my boat and all they do is gather dust in my garage! So thank you Christine, I will be in your area in about a month and I will take you up on the demo and buy a prop from you! Clark

Dang, the fury only comes in 24P??? I am running a 23P Tempest and was considering a Fury, but it looks like that wont work too well.
