My fav delta spinnerbait is a red body with red blades and a paca craw in pumpkin/red on the back as a trailer . my bad for all those who use this or those that wont admit it but it is THA BOMB !!

I tossed one a few days on the delta while I was on vacation, didn't get bit but, I like white purple and chart with silver or gold blades depends on water and sky conditions. I also like it with a big thumper colorado blade.

The monkey is a color Dennis Cordova created years ago when he had DC Spinner baits. It's a combo of Black ,blue and a special green.
Rodstrainer, and Bobby D has duplicated it for the Hook Line and Sinker. Rodstrainer makes for me in the original Z Bend.

Thanks for the info Gene...By the the way everyone, my shad buddy called me last night and said the commercial guys caught some threadfin spawners and the Stockton baitshops had them over the weekend...They love to spawn when the temps go up...

That means the threadfins are running the banks early in the morning to do their thing...He also mentioned the shad were pretty big...Don't give up on spinner baits...Make the blades kick out on the surface if you can...KVD hasn't, saw him on The Bass Pros awhile back throwing em'...

Wonder if they had a "Spinner Bait Only" tournament on the delta who would win it?...What would be the top weight?...

I use white & Chartreuse head with white willow and gold colorado front blade. The tail is long white also with a 5/0 mustad hook. I also use a Delta Shad from Berserk Baits.
