I Found That Son Of A Bish @@!!!

Post by DeltaDan »

I honestly have ran this way more than 100 times + out of BBreak Marina to the Dutch Slough opening and visa~versa ..... But the Minus tide today really showed itself for a follow-up that took out my lower unit and 4 weeks of fishing - Save more only by Insurance and Team Inland-Marine !!

Image

Today I put the motor up and just TM'ed graphing it .. And Yes ~ The Nauti-Path Card DOES indeed show it as a wreck !! .....I just never zoomed in or paid attention to it before. :? Lesson Learned !!

Same water that is even 18' deep on the West side of "Noah's Ark"

I will never take that way again ! ... But I just might TM up to it to keep tossing Swim-Baits !!

Yes Mark -- I wish the State could of put a Hazzard bouy there ... It would of saved ALOT of people alot of money. A Bro that boats for the DTT said that I was the 5th person that he personally knew to of lost their rigs on that wreck.

When I hit it -- I had 3' rollers to be concearned with - trimmed down and only going 39 mph. Out of the corner of my eye I saw what to me looked like to me for a brief monment a Mangrove Tree about 15' on my Starboard side-- And before I could process for myself myself ~ and into my brain - I was thinking "What the Hel ............" BOOM -- and then BOOM happened again. :(

Super scary to say the least...

I think the tide was lower on that day .. I could never of seen it witht he rollers comming stright up the channel. If you look to the right of this pic... THe dark shaded "stearn" of this wreck. I that part was the firstt thing I hit as ther was metal to metal damage on the L/U.

-- then the stump from the bow area of the wreck on the 2and impact. My head did hit the windsheild on the inital impact as well. -- Even my Graph came out of the mount -- But was secured securely by the three wires.

BrothA Mike -- How many years old do you think that that Wreck in Sherman is -on the west side of the Run-Way ..... Just South-West of where the public launch ramp is .. and across the channel :?:

PS- Do you happen to know the original names of those wrecks that you can share with us?

I did not know there were mangrove trees around here..... and as for me when I get my new boat if it shows a wreck on the GPS I am going to believe that...... then again I am smart enough to listen to cooch........

which angler was it a couple of years ago that tore their motor off the boat while zipping thru there. bet thats what they hit. good to know that the nautic path chip has it.

I AM NOT SAYING THERE SHOULD BE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR STUPIDITY,
BUT, WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE SAFETY LABELS OFF OF EVERYTHING
AND LET THE PROBLEM SOLVE ITSELF?"
