Dare I say it???

Post by branuss04 »

Folsom's got some steam behind it. Could it possibly fill this year? (Knock on wood). It's been a few years since it's been this high.

Lake is rising 1 foot every 10 hours according to the chart. I was out last week and if it doesn't fill, its not mother nature's fault. You can blame the people shipping the water downstream.

The reason for the out flow was to give room for the present inflow. originally they were only going to let it fill to 450 elevation, but it looks like they may have changed there minds.
The current level is 455 so it looks like there letting it fill. At the present the incoming is 13000 cfs,the outflow of 6578 cfs, at the present .With a 11 ft to capacity. there isnt a whole lot of room to play with if we got a sudden heat spell or about 6' of rain. But we have to remember Folsom is a sacrificial lake, so anything can happen.Just my $.02
