I would think you could probably find fish in all stages, pre, post and spawning..Just about anything you toss should get you some fish..As to where, that I can't help you much with, except to say all the normal places..

I am heading there tonight. I have 20 different rods tied up, and no idea what and were I will find them. Just go fishing and figure it out. I think its gunna be a tough bite, but I hope not. More than likley all 20 of those rods will wind up with a Senko on them.

you can catch em every bait you throw. Theres an ABA tourny suday so you wont get good info. If it was me i would throw a swimmer and take my chances. But thats me. Senko will never go wrong. I think the fish here and the Delta swim around looking for em. Its like there candy. Yet i refuse!

You know these guys are right. Internet (dock) talk can be your worst enemy. Joe shmo can say he used lure "a" allday for 20lbs, but doen't mean I'm gonna. His approach, retreive etc. could be what is key. On a place like Clear Lake, especially this time of year, if you commit to ur strengths and listen to the bass they will tell you what's up.

You got 3 right. Chatter bait with a bastrix was money to scoot across beds to see if the were locked on. Sometimes they smoked it right of. Some left and didnt come back. The ones that came back went in the box. Small swim baits on beds was money. Frogs caught a few on friday. Jigs, one on sunday off of shag rock. Senkos leading cruizing fish worked once. Senkos and tubes off fraiser point got a quick limit friday, but nothing there saturday. Pre-spawn hens are mostly cruzing and waiting to move up. post spawn arnt worth targeting. Beds was the ticket.

I figured out why you hardly feel the bite on big fish. I watched a 9 pounder that was cruizing around looking for a date eat a senko. It looked like a slow moving basking shark open its mouth 5 feet before it got to the bait, slowly sucked it in and closed its mouth about as slow as a garage door. I had more fun than a dingo in a materinty ward.

And to the dip stick on sunday in a white triton who had his main on fast idle, with no life jacket and using his trolling to steer going along henderson blowing out what I was fishing looking for bed fish. EAD, He actualy cut in infront of me 10 feet and went over a flat that was loaded and blew them all out. Thanks allot, I had a 7 there ready to eat on a bed when you went over my line. I already pulled the buck, a 4# out of the way and had here touch the bait twice. I was 20 min from weight in and could have used that fish and didnt have time to wait for her to come back. I hope someone puts one in your extra chromozone ya knuckle head.

Anyways CL was awsome. Hope you got out and stuck a donkey or 5.

We mainly tossed wacky rigs senkos and pitched black craws & 10 inch worms. No frog bite at all. Even other boaters and shop owners said the frog bite was off!!

Good job. I only got 2 in the keys on the first 4 docks. I waisted allot of time going deep in there and didnt find anything else. Mine were on the first few docks going in under the bridge.

My bro sight fished alot and got a few to smack the senko right under dock and and hanging trees.

I found pitch/flip'in a heavy craw in to the back corners on dock, near the shore line. I tried to hit the shadiest side of the dock, they where holding low, as soon as I felt the weight the floor I would pop it twice and then smack..fish on!! :D 8)
