The only thing for certain is the water and current ramp are growing further apart each day.

So here is a question for all you thast go to DVL all the time or use to ... I was up there the other day doing some fishing and noticed around the corner from the launch ramp (to the left by the dam) there is a road that comes into the water, it looks to me like you could launch a boat off that road ?? Has any one tried or asked about that road???

Re: Diamond Valley Update?
that road will never be used for poeple to put boats in
that is the road that is used for F&G, Wardens, and Seriff's
and that is running out of water

Re: Diamond Valley Update?
As long as there is a shoreline (short of the actual quarry walls)-- you could have a ramp. Dirt, gravel, whatever and if necessary a tractor could be used for launch and retreival.
MWD has no use for lake recreational use. What benefit is there for such?? No scenario adds up to lead MWD to want or facilitate boats on the lake. They pollute, there is added liability as well as costs for employed additional personneland on/on- no positives for MWD.
There is only one use and has only been one use for recreational enjoyment as far as MWD and that is to 'sell the package' to create the lake and get as much of it paid for through some govt. pockets.
That is the end of story. The communities of Hemet, etc. got taken- the govt. paying the bill to the extent that money came from the Wallop-Breaux funds as well as any designated money for fishing or recreational boating- - - ALL GOT TAKEN.
Until MWD is motivated by requiring compliance there is no reason to even hope there position will change. Look, but don't touch!!
