Easy Money

Post by Marty »

I was looking at the Big Bass Challenge on 6 and 7 June! The way I was looking at it – I have 6 chances (weigh-ins) to take one of the 7 places to win per weigh-in. That is 42 chances to win between $50 to $500 and that is for day one. If I do both days we are talking 82 chances all for $150 bucks to fish it. If I get lucky I can win two or three of these places.

Plus I will have a chance to win a truck if I have the big fish for one of the weigh-ins (that is 12 chances).

Do I have it right? Or did I miss count? It can’t be this easy?

Plus the week before I will be fishing the Stren and should be on them!

Only problem I see is if you are fishing with a partner. What is he supposed to do while you are weighing your fish. Seems like it is a better tournament for a single fisherman rather than 2 in a boat. Sounds fun though.

Problem I had last year was I wanted to throw a spook or wake bait, and I could only throw Berkley baits. The Hollow Swimbait did well last year, but Im not a huge fan of Berkley Baits. Lots of fun though and great chance to win some money

I looked at the rules and did not see anything against it. My partner and I talked about it and we are going to split what we make. If one of us gets the big fish and a chance to win the truck that one keeps the truck – beside he has more luck that I do!

There are some great reasons to share the boat with someone.

There are some strategies with this event. I'm looking forward to it and wish I would of done it last year.

Looks like you covered most of it Marty. There is also the drawings where you put your info in a Berkley bag for prizes, plus the first 150 anglers signed up are in for another drawing for some stuff.

Berkley has a number of different baits that cover most of it. I need to pick the right one(s) .

What type of bait for Easy Money?

Post by Marty »

I was looking at the different types of bait that Berkley offers in the BPS catalog.

They have a lot of stuff in these little bottles – does any one use that stuff? Seen an 8in worm that looks good may use that one. Do they have a top water bait? Maybe a frogs!

I'm one of the first 150 to sign up! Now what do i get?

Marty,

Stay off my water......thought I'd tell ya before Mikey, Daniel, and the all the LL hit squad's.

For what I heard, you have a choice between the Stockton Port or the Sacramento Channel.

Yes they do make topwater baits!

They make the Frenzy "Popper", (works like a Rico/PopR) as well as a floating frog.

Visit the Berkley website (www.berkley-fishing.com) for details and pictures of the bait.
