I use Gama 1/0 or 2/0 Light Wire worm hooks for split shot/texas rigged worms depending on the thickness of the worm. I use Gama #1 drop shot hooks for drop shot. They work well for me. If a light wire hook bends get rid of it. Don't try to bend it back as it will most likely break. With all these hooks you can practically just reel into the fish and you will get em'. That said I usually give a quick snap set. Works for me.

For Texas rigs I like the VMC Vanadium 1/0 and 2/0 offset worm hooks for 4" to 6" Iovinos, Robos etc... I will even go down to a size 1 at times for smaller baits.

I use either a Gammi or a owner mosquito #4 for the smaller robos
#2 for the fatter worms, and a #1 or 1/0 for night sized worms, all nose hooked.
I'm going to try the new owner fiber guards the next time out too, they look good.

Don't be afraid to use the little hooks, they are razor sharp, and my hookup ratio went way up with the little hooks. They are small, but deadly...

When you get bit, just load up th rod and give a little set swing. The fish typically get hooked on their own. It doesn't take much for that fine wire to penetrate, and it will also stick in-between teeth.

Sorry Mike should have been clearer  ........gamma is just short speak for Gamakatsu hooks, they can be found just about any major retailer.......if you are interested in a great source for your fishing stuff check out tacklewarehouse.com . I have been using them for a couple of years, great prices and awesome customer service ! Also might want to check out baitbarn.net ! Both located out here in Cali but worth the shipping time. So what part of the river r u fishing ? ( Markland area used to be one of my favorites ! )

Don't forget the roboworm rebarb hooks, size 1/0 or 1. Great for drop shotting in cover.
