T-STORMS HELP OR HURT THE DELTA BITE ?
Will the thunder storms that are rolling through help or hurt the bite on the delta this weekend? It doesnt seem like the temp is going to drop significantly like a cold front so will the fish react in a negative manner after they roll through? I'll be out there saturday either way, i'm just trying to game plan a little bit.

I hear the bite REALLY turns on at the peak of a thunderstorm right as the worst lightning is right over head! I also heard that the bite only turns on if you use your largest graphite rod that you own. This is all information that my Mother gave me as a kid, but I never got the opportunity to try it out...Maybe I'll get lucky this weekend.

Does graphite conduct electricity? It sounds like you're setting him up to be a lightning rod!
I always worry about what would happen if I were struck by lightning while in my tube... I don't think I would make it out of that one.

lol, yes there are LOTS of stories of people getting struck by lightning while fishing. The fact that your one of the tallest things on the lake, with a graphite "lightning" rod doesnt help any either.

Had it right the first time. Per Lee Trevino, "Even God can't hit a 2 iron."

Fished the Delta today; 15-20 fish to 5.25 lbs.

What happened Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, had no impact really on Thursday's bite. Even with the remnant cloud cover, the bite Thursday was no better than it's been the past month. Cold chilly morning, 15-20 mph winds all day, temps ranged from 69-71 degrees. At the request of my client, we ran around junk fishing Whites & Disappointment all day, nothing spectacular. Sure is a lotta cheese up there fer you frog fisherman ta play with!WANNA HOOK BIGGIN'S wrote:Will the thunder storms that are rolling through help or hurt the bite on the delta this weekend? The only thing constant about fishing is NOTHING is EVER constant.
The more you think you know the more you realize that those little green fish are an animal with there own way of doing things.
Nothing beats time on the water.
