Bass is way better?? Ask your grandfather about the sturgeon fishing in Oregon. I bet your grandfather really likes the sturgeon fishing up there and has some great stories to tell. Here is an article I read recently:

I hope to make a trip to Oregon for some of that someday.
I suggest you and your grandfather just go out on the water and have a great time. Find out what works, and use what you like to throw. Enjoy your time together fish or no fish, that is just the added bonus.
Congrats on Graduation

Austen,
With any luck, this warming trend will bring on the all day topwater bite we've been waiting for. There really ain't no solid pattern or patterns, that are working here day in and day out. It's a scratch and grind, junk fishing kinda pond right now.

Hi Austen,
If Cooch's topwater bite isn't on, try a brown tube T-rigged with a brown slip sinker. Fish them on the outside of the weedbeds that extend out from the base of the rocks or tules.
Good luck and I hope you can get your Granddad into some bass.

Please practice CPR (catch, photo, and release)
