Bass Boat Rentals?

Post by RougeBass »

Does anyone know any places or marinas that rent some type of Boat to fish for Bass? We want to take our families camping and fishing and I'm having a tough time finding a boat for Bass Fishing. (I sure miss my Ranger) Thanks!

Yeah, you never see bass boat rentals huh?!

Guess marina owners dont think its a good idea to rent 70mph hotrods to any fool that thinks they can handle one!!!

Only fishing boat rentals I've found on the Delta are at Paradise Point Marina off of Eight Mile Road north of Stockton. They have nice 16 foot aluminum boats with 15 HP outboards...not a bass boat but my son and I fish out of them for bass all the time. Half day rental is $40, full day is $60, plus gas of course.

Your probably better off hiring a guide than renting a full sized bass boat. If your just looking for an aluminum boat with a small motor there are a number of options.

Yo, Dewayne, are there other marinas on the Delta besides Paradise Point that rent aluminum fishing boats with outboards?

We used to get one at Herman & Helen's but I understood they stopped renting them.

My son and I would like to fish other parts of the Delta, but we need a rental fishing boat from other marinas to do that to cut down on the travel time (which is SLOW with a 15 HP outboard).

Any info about other rental boat options will be appreciated.

Roger,
I think The Sugar Barge on Bethel Island also has aluminum boats to rent. I know I have seen a couple of theirs in the past.

Below is a link to a few leads. Ignore Lundborg's Landing as they have closed down.

Thanks, Dewayne! That's very helpful!
We'll check out the rentals at Sugar Barge Marina so we can fish Franks Tract and surrounding area.

RougeBass might find their 17' V hull fishing boat with 50HP outboard useful as a replacement for a bass boat.

was just surfing the net and came across this post and although I might be a little late on it I just wanted to offer my services because that's exactly what I do, rent a fully rigged skeeter bass boat complete with everything needed. I'm ken from www.basstaxi.com, and Scott E. is right, I have just started the business. Check out my site, I'm fully insured and I think i'm pretty reasonable. Also, If anyone has a free minute or two, I could sure use some input or any suggestions anyone may have. My blog site is www.basstaxi.com/blog/. Hope I can be of some help. thanks again.

A few years back I rented a boat from a place at Clear Lake called Fun Time RV. It was an 18 foot bass tracker with a 90 hp motor on it. I had a blast and stayed around the redbud area.
